    Thanks zerObit, I kinda figured I'd get a bunch of "this is not Diablo" childish responses, even though a working example was given to them. Mythos is basically a 100% Diablo clone, it was even created by the original Diablo 2 developers, but people don't listen to logical reasoning. I've seen Jay Wilson's video where he commented on this and just because he likes to use the mouse ALL the time, why can't we get a simple 4 directional key binding option? This is not a giant feature to request.

    Personally, I found it very nice to have the option to move around between battles using the WASD keys and give my mouse a rest for a few seconds.

    I actually think the REAL reason is simple, they don't want people to be shifting gear around the inventory while the character is moving.

    Sure it works, I even gave you an exact example. The hotbar in Mythos works exactly the same way as Diablo 3 (except you have 12 buttons). Using WASD works just fine in combination with using hot key attacks, besides this is not something you have to do all the time. I still move around with the mouse, but use WASD 50% of the time to give rest my finger from the clickfest.

    I was playing the free to play Mythos Global, which "borrowed" a lot of UI ideas from D3 and couldn't help but notice how well the WASD movement felt. Since this works in addition to the mouse, sometimes it's just nice to move the character in one direction while having the focus on my enemy on the other side of the screen.

    Now, I have seen posts on this before where people asked for this feature in D3 but those threads were shut down with "this isn't WoW" replies. I understand it's not a necessity and the original Diablo games were just fine being mouse driven, but if you haven't tried it, how do you know? When the console version of D3 comes out, they are most certainly going to add directional movement that does not rely on moving a mouse cursor with a gamepad stick.

    Anyway, for anyone interested in the feel, try Mythos Global and you'll see what I mean. It really made me wish D3 would allow this simple control functionality which could be totally optional to every player.

    I think adding crafted items to D3 was a mistake and I agree with the OP. Crafting such as adding gem slots to items is fine, but making entire items from scratch takes away from finding gear on the field. Either one or the other will offer better gear which would make one or the other less desirable. Crafting should have been a supplementary functionality to the found items.

    Why does the monk run around with his weapons out but the second he attacks they are put away? I understand they didn't complete the weapon animations, but what's the point of having the weapons be out? Just let them hang on his sides or back and it would look a lot more seamless than teleporting out of his hands every 2 seconds.

    I just wonder why the game looks so washed out? It's like one of those games you launch with default settings that looks terrible at first but after tweaking all the video settings the problem goes away, except in D3 case the game always looks washed out.

    I think the closest most of us came to winning a key was probably on this site when we had to post a d3 character build. Every other contest I've tried has felt like trying to win the state lottery.

    Seems like most people who keep on trying to get in, well, keep on trying and the people who didn't care much about the game got their invites months ago. I tried a few contests, with the recent one on diablofans.com having the highest odds of around 1.04% without luck. Maybe it's a good thing, you'll just be that much more excited when the game comes out.

    I completely agree with the OP. Having a separate character sheet/window is much better than blending it together with the inventory screen. I have a big appreciation for the minimalistic interfaces, showing relevant information.

    They injected DPS info into the inventory space to fill the void after stripping the N. cube, etc. I think they should have just left the character sheet intact and made it optional to people who want to see more details about their toon.

    The character sheet could have easily been integrated with a nice and simple skill selection, similar to how it was in Beta Patch 1.

    Does anyone else feel the current skill hotbar (displayed between the health and mana globes) needs some additional polish?

    1. Potion button looks too much like a normal skill button and should be changed to look more like a dedicated potion slot, similar to the town portal.

    2. Give the player an option to disable the shortcut buttons for Inventory, Achievements, Game Settings, etc. Some people never click on those and use hot keys instead. That space would be better utilized for displaying your current gold or something else more relevant.


    It just seems that a 2 year old iteration of the game had a more polished hot bar. Maybe they are not finished with the UI yet.
