First off, I absolutely loved the intro video! Blizzard is just incredible with their cinematics, I can't get enough of them. I look forward to trying out the new crusader class too. But most of all I look forward to the class changes and taking my level 60 Hardcore Witch Doctor through the new expansion, with the fear of perma death lurking around every dark and twisted corner.... I can't freaking wait!!!!!!
I don't have a Diablo collection, mine starts with Diablo 3 which I have already purchased. I have used a Diablo 3 background for 1-2 years now. The Avatar you see next to my post is part of the background I'm using. I love the look of it. I didn't play Diablo 2 until many years later. But I've read up on a lot of the lore from wiki's and forcestrategygaming. I'm so excited to play Diablo 3. It's going to be one of those gaming experiences that you never forget, kinda like the one I had with World of Warcraft from Closed Beta - Now. When Diablo 3 begins for me, WoW ends. So excited.
Anyways those are some nice collections you guys have.
From what I recall of playing Ranged Classes in Action-RPG games is that they were all like that. For me it always seemed to work smooth. I don't really see another way to use it. I haven't played Diablo 3 Beta yet so I don't know how it works there. But it seems to me like it would be fine. Maybe I will see what you are talking about when Diablo 3 comes out.
I think this is a good thing. It means a better social network for the game for one. I am also a lover of random drops. I like getting random rare items on my own and having them be valuble. I think if bosses dropped the best gear then you would farm them until you were geared out and then that would be it. With this you will be well geared with boss loot, but there will always be better loot out there that you will have to buy, trade, or farm for. I think it will make your character always unfinished to some extent, because there will always be better gear out there, even if you've killed and farmed all the bosses. And I like that, I don't want to complete a character, I want to keep playing it and gearing it up.
I like the Barbarian because I love melee, Being able to get in close and smash or slice your enemies to peices is a lot of fun. But what I like about what I see in the new Barbarian Talent Trees is the utility also. The defensive parts and the ability to weave them together to make it more than just run in and bash on things. I like that there will be some strategy you can formulate. I like that you will be able to design a barbarian to fit your own play style. I'm very excited for Diablo 3, I already bought the game, and with any luck I will get a taste of the beta at some point.
