you got this way wrong, they added it to the ptr only because the necro needed testing.

i dont remember exactly when, but i do remember seeing a blue post about this some time ago. seems like it is on their radar, but i'm not too sure if any updates have been given recently on the idea.

I like this idea. It could also be kinda cool when making a custom game to have the option of asking for certain roles/classes, so that the more hardcore people can have a balanced roster of support/tank/dps characters (like a WoW raid), or one could try to get varied classes, or all one class (running a full on Crusade can be fun, ater all).

This might not be original idea, but did not see poll about it.
What if we got rid of this old "solo vs group play" dilemma forever?
Simple solution would be in my opinion that we just separated progression from those 2. Meaning, there would be different set of legendary gems and paragons for each category. But would this be too much? Not saying this would make all things better, but it would end the dilemma what we have. What do you think?
This would be fair for all. You would not need to play high end 4man to be competitive in solo play. Extra confusion, sure. Would it fix it, yes.

Then don't farm them. Solved.
Primals are just a carrot on a stick for players who don't care about ladders and wanted a long term objective. Usually those kind of players don't care much about character power/stats but more about "completion".
Primals are not needed for competing in ladders, and if you have a badly rolled one it's a shard like any other item.
Really, they are 100% optional. Expecting to have a full Primal well-rolled character is completely bogus (until you dedicate lots of hours on that char).
