apparently nothing is delaying d3 release. it's magically happening with no explanation.
Don't be thick. He was referring specifically to the Korea "theory".
The game isn't done. Simple as that. Get over it. etc.

Now if only I can get a beta invite ._.
I've never gotten a blizzard beta invite. Is it because I live in Canada? Blizzard has come off as rather discriminative towards Canada in the past, while not meaning to.

Hi!
Iv'e been following this site quietly for some time now and since I have a advertisement agency, this contest caught my eyes. Iv'e been lookin at all the entrys and I have one question.
A lot of people are using images from other people/companies in their logos. Do Diablo Fans have permission from Blizzard/Artists to use this images or is it just lack of knowledge about copyright laws from the contributors? I ask because I was thinking of contributing myself.

I've noticed you need to loot them to get the soul. Doesn't seem to apply to all of them though, not sure why.

As for speculating about Leah and Diablo. I don't know how or why, but I feel Diablo is going to take on more of a protagonist role in D3. That doesn't mean we won't encounter and fight him, but considering we apparently travel to the High Heavens, it seems like there's a large shift in power and/or control going on, and Leah may or may not have an influence or control over him due to being who she is, and what she's learned from studying Cains work. It may just be Diablo that destroys Azmodan, as an example.

What exactly does DiabloExpressions mean? It just seems... off, and I don't really understand what the point behind the name is, and what it reflects. In my honest opinion, I wasn't sure if this was a site that was promoting the supposed "working emulator", a site that was for customizing characters (hence, expressions), a merchandise site or what. It just seems to be a fansite, and your name should reflect that. If I was browsing sites on Google, I think I would quickly identify a name like "diablofans", or even "diablo.incgamers" before "diabloexpressions" because it's a rather ambiguous and unfitting name.
Also, why didn't you install your CMS to the root of your site? I don't know, as a web designer/developer myself (and work for a promotional company, hence my nitpicking above), having the entire site sitting within a folder called "joomla16" reeks of unprofessionalism and is just bad practice. Not to mention, you may run into unnecessary complications if you ever want to use a subdomain while retaining convenient pathing. Roots are always easier to work with. I understand it's just a game site, but one you seem to want to be taken seriously. With the little experience I do have with Joomla, it shouldn't be too hard to set Joomla up again using the root of your site. Just remember to back your database up and make sure if you're using prefixes, that you define this in the setup. Because unless you're doing a manual install (which few do), the auto-installer will force you to recreate the database (unless in recent years they've implemented an "use existing database" feature /shrug). I would suggest doing this while the site is still rather dormant.
Just my 8 cents.

My point? I won't be surprised if Diablo takes on more of a protagonist role, than an antagonist. That's not to say we won't fight him, but I have a feeling that Diablo isn't going to be the main enemy in D3.

Same here. That head is going on my desk at work.
Plus, as per the response above, I wouldn't be surprised if vanishing dyes only work on certain pieces like helms Having the only alternative appearance option as "nothing" seems clunky, and not Blizzards style. While I totally understand they're different designers/developers, they were hesitant on adding transmog to WoW for very similar reasons (they don't want the core game being played in tuxedos, christmas things, etc), so I don't see "naked" in D3 being acceptable either.
Everyone will have a different opinion about Gamestop, some positive, some negative, most bandwagoning.
I've never personally had a problem with preorders or in store pickups. But that's just me.

Why would they invite a whole bunch of people and say "LOL Sorry, server capped"? Talk about foolish. Blizzard understands what the servers can handle. They don't need to cap the servers (and I'd argue that the servers probably do have a cap, it's just higher than the number of people playing public games)
Honestly if anyone is the fool, it's you and your backwards logic. Blizzard didn't jerk anyone around. The only people that would think this, are the ones that created the hype themselves. Blizzard never affirmed a 2011 release. They were really hoping for one, but that's it. If you want to interpret that as a confirmation or some self entitled driven expectation, and hype yourself up over it, that's your call. *Especially* when every single one of us are well aware of how often Blizzard pushes titles back in the name of quality. To take small tidbits of hints and hopes, hype yourself up, then point the finger at them... get over yourself.
You also don't get to make up phrases like "regular and artificial hype" and base an entire argument from it when they are ridiculous definitions you came up with in your head. The same goes for "closed beta as needing an NDA" there's no rules of how a Beta test is run. There is just, again, you're ridiculous expectations.
With all do respect, you are an incredibly ignorant individual that believes everything should run, and only be run the way you think it should, not because there's a set protocol.

This is how flat images work, using arbitrary numbers. (I say flat because this art couldn't have been done in a scalable format, however I would believe Blizzard has ridiculously high (talking 3000-5000 DPI) resolution versions in house. They would never provide us with those though)
Screen size: 1000x1000px
Print Size: 10" x 10"
Resolution: 300 DPI
If you sized that up to 2000x2000px, while maintaining 300 DPI (the bare minimum for an acceptable print), the print size effectively gets chopped in half to 5"x5". If you chose to maintain the print size instead of resolution, then you cut the resolution in half, to 150 DPI, which falls below print standards of 300 DPI. What happens, is you're trying to spread the same amount of pixels in double the area, hence you're going to get extremely blurring. No program can magically change this. Some programs are better at resampling than others, but you will *never* retain the same quality, especially when we're talking going from 22" to 42". There's a *huge* difference between screen size and print size.
I mean, if the OP wants to buy it go for it, I just wanted to warn him to not buy into their exaggeration of what that will look like in person. I will add, I take my job rather seriously and I'm extremely picky. I don't like seeing people get ripped off because the seller is taking advantage of the average person not knowing this information. Buy at your own risk, in other words

The poster is only 42" across, or 3.5'. I can assure you that couch is longer than 3.5 feet wide and they've created the image to actually be larger than it.
I'd also be wary, because I would like to know where the people who made this obtained an image large enough, while maintaining an acceptable DPI for printing at that size for a clear print. You say you do graphic design, I'm surprised you didn't think of this
Looks nice on the site, but don't be surprised if you're highly disappointed with the quality when you receive it.
fwiw, I'm a graphic artist and work in promotions, I do this crap every day A 16:9 image (1920x1080) at 300 DPI has a max print size of roughly 6.5". They're offering you 42". Even at screen resolution (which is likely what Blizzard provides), it's only 22" across.

Any beginner web developer can write a script to blacklist, or ignore duplicate IP addresses in the database and apply it to the submission form.

Not sure why people do this outside boasting their elementary knowledge of algebra.
This formula assumes that level 1 gems are the only things that drop throughout the entirety of the game, which is silly because we all know it doesn't work like that.

It's actually only 1.4 million, and a large chunk of those people are in countries that are not eligible anyway.
Not a big chance, but better than just opting in

End of March is the end of Q1, and a very safe assumption when Blizzard says "early 2012". The actual statement is either a load of crap to stir up hype and garner more preorders, or they're twisting what was actually said, using words like "confirmed". End of March is more than 5 months away, I doubt Blizzard is even ready to "confirm" anything right now.
