Never tried a mechanical keyboard but i've been curious about it. Does it REALLY make a difference or is it mostly marketing?

    Possibly a new keyboard too.

I have played a lot of mmorpgs, which led me to get a Razer Naga a couple years ago. Pretty handy to bind a dozen of skills/actions on your mouse when nowaday's mmorpgs are requiering the use of so many different skills/actions.

Diablo 3 is a whole different story though. A LOT more clicking, and probably moving the mouse arround too, while actually using a lot less different skills.

I find my Naga to be a bit too massive/heavy to be really comfortable with when playing Diablo, therefore looking for a new mouse that would be smaller and lighter, with still at least a couple extra buttons (preferably on the side). And it has to be rock solid quality, that goes without saying when going to click millions times :P

Some kind of mouse you guys can think of? Also thoughts regarding a keyboard choice? like something with ultra flat keys perhaps?

Not quite sure this belongs in General Discussion but i'm not sure it should go to "technical support" either so sorry in advance if this thread belongs elsewhere

posted a message on To all the beta players - computer specs?
    Quote from Zera

thats some sick ram if they are running at 4ghz :P
Anyways for my own specs I run a i7 920 (overclocked ofc cause that cpu was a beat compared to standard clock), ati hd5870 and 6gb ram. Personally I didn't find it to be super smooth but that could be because I usualy play with 2 monitors and one of them showing some movie or flash stream :P.

Personally I feel like you should be able to play it fine but when it's out u don't think the graphics u can run is high enough you can always upgrade. Especialy if you aren't planning on playing any really heavy games comming out.

Interesting post. I do have an (old socket 775) Quad 2 2.66 OC'd at 3.5, a 5870 and 6G DDR2, dual monitors 1920x1200 (only displaying game on one though) and i'm a bit disappointed by the performances. It feels like playing in max settings is going to be a problem FPS wise in the middle of big packs of mobs... It feels like my CPU would bottleneck if I upgraded my GPU, and I'm not sure if i should upgrade my motherboard/CPU since its a game using the GPU mostly afterall..

kinda pondering my options at the moment, not sure what to do

posted a message on A forum section for "quick questions"
With the hype growing, more informations available everyday or almost, more and more people to be visiting the forums as we are getting close to release I thought it would be nice to have a quick questions section.

That way when everyone and their mothers are going to invade the forums getting close to the game release we can keep the general discussion section for actual discussions, and move all the threads regarding quick, specific questions that will have probably been answered 1000 times, to another section where forum's good guy gregs can help the newcomers out.

    Any thoughts?

Half naked toons, sleep deprived, clueless about what to expect from mobs/bosses or more generally the game, rushing through inferno, hardcore mode. I don't see how this could possibly fail !

    Quote from Montuno

(...) Do u think barb is going to be able to take the beating for both of you? Almost doubled damage from monsters...

Correct me if i'm wrong but afaik the monsters won't hit harder but will just have much more HP. Much more as in +75% for every other member in the group.

Regarding the WD vs Monk choice, if i go WD I'd rather use a build without pets.. not a big fan !

I know it's way too early to really make sure, and its mostly theorycrafting a this point really but since we have time to kill for another 40 days.. :P

I'm planning on playing D3 as a duo with a friend going to play Barb. Before he told me he was going to play D3 I was leaning toward WD or Monk myself, most likely monk, but the way I see it now, it feels like a ranged class would probably be more ideal than another melee class. I could go for some all out glass canon setup while he'd use a tanking'ish build..

What are your thoughts regarding good partner class to duo with a Barb?

Please forgive me, veteran gamer but complete Diablo noob here and i'm amazed at how much theorycrafting you guys are doing.

How can you guys think such specific builds when you haven't experienced how hard/fast/packed etc mobs are yet?

Is it to kill time? for the sake of argument? or do you really believe there is a chance you'll actually stick with those builds when being lvl 60 and farming inferno?

Genuine question fwiw, not mocking or anything!
