Quote fromWhat news is this. Where did they talk about the fifth class, lore, and story line? Right now, there is very little "news" and we on the news team try to share everything announced about the game.
I should have known better than to try to use sarcasm on the internet. I was joking, I know there is no news coming out of blizzard and I'm glad you guys report every little tidbit of information that sneaks out of Blizzard.
I though I was pretty obvious on the sarcasm but it is hard to pick up over text and I guess there are some people who are critical of what the news team puts out. I hope you didn't get too offended when you thought I was being serious.

It would not be found in an electric goods store.
Go for it, just dont go crazy and ask like 10 questions. Although I guess that isn't really against the rules, so I dont really care. I just think it would be more fun to ask a few at a time.
No.

All the rest of your suggestions made me spend more money, but somehow the 1600mhz ram is 1 dollar cheaper than its 1333mhz counterpart on newegg. Weird.
As for the SSD, I think 64 gb is a good size for me. I will probably have at most 1 game on it at a time, as a lot of the time I just play 1 game religiously for a while, take if off my computer and then find a new game to worship.
And sinze 160GB ones cost twice as much, I think i will be happy with 64 Gbs.

I am going to go with a no though, because that is a weird mental image and I want it gone.

The main benefit of our current power grid is its reliability. If everybody decides they want to turn on a light at the same time, the power grid will be okay, however if each town were to be on an independent grid this reliability goes away and people either need to be told how much energy they can use during which times, or there has to be a large amount of excess power being produced.
I don't think it can really be described as a hard on, when we choose the most practical choice. Solar, wind and hydro are all nice additions to our energy production, however they cannot be the backbone of our power supply. Due to the media, people hate nuclear power, so coal is really our only current option. Its awful from an environmental standpoint but when it comes to environment vs having a stable power supply, people choose the latter.
The same can be said for oil, it is currently the best option. Hybrid cars are a great thing, but they are only a temporary fix to the problem and so far no better fuel has been created. Ethanol is a joke, solar cars are not practical, electric cars are great for short distances, but can't go very far and hydrogen fuel cell technology isn't there yet. And having a dependency on foreign oil is not necessarily a bad thing, we live in a global market, countries are dependent on each other it is the way the current world works. The real reason why people hate foreign oil is the media always spins stories to make it seem like OPEC is all powerful, but in reality the country we import the most oil from is Canada, followed by Mexico.
I think your ideas would make more since in an ideal world, but thinking about an ideal world is useless and boring.

Case: Cooler Master 690 II
Mobo: Asus P8Z68-V Pro
CPU: Intel i7-2600k (I do plan to oc, so i'll spend the extra $20 for the k)
Hard drives:
Crucial M4 64GB SSd
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM
Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws X series 8GB(2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333
PSU: Corsair HX650
CPU fan: Cooler master hyper 212
Monitor: Asus VW246H 24" widescreen LCD
Then GPU choices are
Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB or
Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 1GB (Edited that to say 1GB, not 2)
I am going to get a new mouse and keyboard too so,
Mouse: Logitech G4000
Keyboard: Either cheap standard keyboard or a mechanical keyboard (probably das keyboard professional silent).
I'll probably wait until near thanksgiving to see if any of these parts are on sale to decide between the GPU's and the keyboards, but as of now this is between $1700 and $2000.

I don't know how I wrote down a 6gb set of ram. I was just copying stuff over from a wishlist I made on newegg and somehow I messed that up :S, but I'm going for this:
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
The ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z68 does seem like a much better choice than the motherboard I picked and its cheaper. I was under the impression that the z68 series was more expensive and I wouldn't get much gain out of it since I probably wont ever use the integrated graphics, so I never even looked at those boards.
I couldn't decide between corsair and antec psu's, but since I heard good things about both, I went for antec because it is cheaper, but if 2 people recommend corsair, i will probably go with the CORSAIR Professional Series HX650.
I'm going to look into cases and GPUs some more than probably post again, thanks again for you help so far.

Although if you thought you had an enemy, and they haven't overrun you yet, then they are probably not your enemy.
Or they are just really sneaky.
But since you mentioned it, you should all try to guess the treasure. I don't want to be stuck being the treasure long enough that I forget the password.
As for Siaynoq's cat (a creature more thought provoking than Schrödinger's cat) my vote goes for tail in an power outlet.

The main purpose, in my opinion, of being fast is to be able dodge attacks and to try to get behind the enemy, however try to do this was rather weird and clunky in morrowind and oblivion, and although the combat system in skyrim looks a lot better I am still kind of skeptical about this style being able to compete with the standard from the past two games, which was "alternate blocking their attacks and swinging all while slowly moving backwards."
But if combat doesn't work out for me, I will probably just attempt to sneak past most enemies, as a rouge or assassin probably should do anyways, engage when necessary, beat the game and then play the game as a destruction mage or strength based warrior to get the opposite effect where I can just go and fuck shit up instead of worrying about critical strikes or any of that pansy shit.
Not being able to block while dual wielding kind of frightens me if there is not a good roll, sidestep or other dodging mechanism. I haven't really looked far enough into this game to see if those are a possibility.

Here is an interview with bethesda claiming that you would need steam for new vegas: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/101221-Fallout-New-Vegas-Switches-to-Steam
and another one: http://techreport.com/discussions.x/19053
I think there are convoluted ways you can install the game to get around the steam requirement, but when I inserted the disk and went with the standard install I was forced to create a steam account and it sounds like Skyrim is the same.
It could be a regional thing I guess, if you're not from North America or something that could explain it.
Edit:
Unless you buy the game from steam, or it has to be played through steam (like they say skyrim will) steam will have nothing to do with your games, however if you wanted to add such a nefariously acquired game to steam client, I do not know how well that will work as I have not tried it.

I don't think this is right. I bought new vegas as a hardcopy, but in order to play it I needed to create a steam account(although I have sense never regretted that decision because steam is amazing) and from the sound of the quote Tenhi posted it sounds like Skyrim will be the same.

I am thinking of building a new computer soon, probably wait for after thanksgiving sales, and i was wondering if anybody can find any problems with this build.
Case: Cooler Master Storm Scout Atx mid tower - $100
Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Deluxe (Rev 3.0) LGA 1155 -$225
GPU: Sapphire 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 -$150
CPU: Intel i7-2600k -$320
CPU fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 -$30
RAM: Gskill Ripjaws x series 6GB DDR3 1333 -$48
PSU: Antec BP550 Plus 550W -$80
Hard Drives: Seagate Barracuda St31000524AS 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s -$140
Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 2.5" 64GB SATA III SSD -$150
Monitor: ASUS VW@$^H Glossy BLack 24" 2ms HDMI Widescreen LC. -$230
CD Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST SATA DVD Burner -$20
Total: $1300-$1400 depending on the current prices on newegg.
I was wondering if everything in this build is okay. I am really unsure about motherboards and GPU's, so did I pick two decent ones or are there better deals for products that perform about the same? I also don't have a strict price range, so if anybody has any suggestions that are slightly more expensive, I would not be opposed to them.
I am planning on using this for gaming, CAD use and everyday uses like web browsing and word.

I can't tell if this is because I am not interested anymore, or if I just don't want it to be spoiled, it is probably a bit of both.
