Here is what I use to farm up to MP8.
Slow Time (stretch time) is what used to be blizzard+cold blood passive, but I wanted to try something less CPU demanding. Maybe +20% dmg rune is better.
Ice Armor because it doesn't reduce max AP.
Electrocute (Forked Lighting) together with meteor allows me to stay on maximum range inside my APS bubble (sometimes it's really needed).
Diamond Skin with CM passive is almost requirement to spam meteors on solo elites and small packs.
Ignite is better than Cold Blooded for group play imo.
Most of the time I tank them to the face (got enough melee dmg reduction and overall EHP).

as one of the few who despise the AH, i only make 300-500k PER WEEK. i'm tired of these "budget" guides, and "exciting new gems" with pricetags that demand only constant AH players could ever afford.
remember at the beginning, when Blizz promised the AH would never be a part of the game they forced you to use? yet the new marqise stuff now demands it???
I couldn't have phrased the feeling better. Trying to farm gold instead of actual upgrades makes the process boring for me.
5/31/2012 4:53:19 AMThanks for the info. I'll try aiming to get more damage and maybe take glass cannon or force weapon.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
I was struggling to find an enjoyable build. It seems some kind of frost will suit suit me the best, but i'm not exactly sure.
Is frost hydra worth it, what do you think?
5/31/2012 2:10:05 AMI didn't mean i was tanking literally. I always try to avoid any hits, but i just don't get 2shotted. It's required to kite constantly and high armor and resists help not to die to fast or other strong elites while kiting.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

It doesn't include any +damage buffs but centers on passive mitigation, kiting. Though normal mobs die fast enough, elites are easy to kite around, and cold blooded passive does it's job well.
I'm currently doing 1st act inferno, has 13k dmg with this build, ~400 resists and 4300 armor. I'm sure it's good for 1st act but will it be fine for later stages, or do i need to change my stats priorities for more damage? Will I be able to "tank" as good as i can now, given I will get better gear?
Your thoughts please.
