Ok i will calm down. But all this theories with ice and picture invertation.. runes and so one JUST theories nothing more... and i am speaking about the picture that i saw at blizzard fanart section, a REAL picture, not my imagination or beliaves.. its just a real pic i saw.
I aslo don't think it's art of Diablo. Maybe because i just more like the "seal-version" (both creature-art and sanctuary seals teaser), it looks like more interesting puzzle to me.
But good luck finding provepic, we all will be glad to see it.

I am 100% diablo fan like you all. Its no need for me to tell lies! When i was just looking for a new wallpaper at blizzard fanart i found this diablo image and was dissapointed how awful this picture is. His face not angry and scary (as someone posted it before) His face is calm and he was probably sad. I remembered this picture only because of this and ofcourse because diablo was purple (unusual) sorry for my english
But maybe that's not the important part. What's important is the naming of the images like people have said.

I'm looking at it and can't see how it could look anything like diablo's face or somehow his body.
Might you be as kind and place the images we already have in paint and then fill the blanks with lines that it would roughly resemble what the picture looked like before.

can you tell me what do the revealed parts resemble? like is the first image part of his head? (then where are the horns?) and the second image is his back or what?

second part - is not a down part of the image (as many place it in their mosaic) its up part and probably his back (NOT his ass! wrong translation) its his back. i cant imagine... NOONE SAW THIS PICTURE EXCEPT ME IN FANART SECTION BEFORE??? unbelivable
The teaser splash page has been updated around 12:10am -- it is going the route I had said in one of the forum threads. Each day it seems the ice will crack further and further until the WWI announcement day where the ice will be broken to reveal the new game.
A new symbol appeared on the upper-right side of the ice fissure. This ice image might not mean anything yet except being just a teaser: that a new game announcement will be made.
At this point, it could be a Diablo game (most likely due to Diablo II Anniversary being the same date as WWI closure), Starcraft: Ghost or Warcraft IV. All these games have been hinted a lot by Rob Pardo, Paul Sams and Itzik Ben Bassat in the past year.
xusnlivin reports one of the runes shown in today's image resembles the Hel Rune from Diablo II.
forsinain points out a pattern on the master.CSS file for today. Yesterday the name was Tundra. Today the name is Cavern. His pattern points toward one of the Diablo Acts' locations:
Glacial Trail -> Frozen Tundra (.tundra in CSS)
Glacial Trail -> Drifter Cavern (.cavern in CSS)
The speculation was true: D (04.jpg - fourth letter of the alphabet) and today's image O (15.jpg - 15th letter of the alphabet). At this rate the image numbers will reveal DIABLO. Tomorrow's image might be named as any of these file names ... 01.jpg (standing for the first letter of the alphabet: A), 02.jpg (standing for B), 12 (standing for the twelve letter of the alphabet: L) or 09.jpg (standing for the nineth letter of the alphabet: I).
