There is no way in hell that torchlight is upping any ante........its a good game and its got that diablo feel that so many other diablo clones lack(obviously due to the fact that the team is full of old diablo devs.....) But theres nothing in the game that really takes this genre forward in anyway whatsoever

That's why you have a merc with some open wounds. Prevents them from regenerating.

I'd say that a Bone Necro with a nigma can probably do it..it'd take a shitload of time though. Not to mention hefty gear.

Naw...even with the best gear on you would probably never be able to dps enough to beat there regen

... we do not allow the 'hostility mode' that Diablo II had where you can go into town, go hostile, pop back through a town portal, and insta-kill your friend.

haha jay wilson dosent even know how diablo is now... how are we going to have this guy making the next diablo?

its just not diablo if you cant hostile anyone at anytime.... its really not that easy to just hostile and kill an entire game either.... legitly you have about 2-3 mins to gtfo.

tppk is a whole nother story

I agree with you 100% man....I was hoping that the simple hostility button would make it back. If someone joins your game and hostiles everyone and there that much higher in levels then you...well leave the game and make a new one its not that bloody hard....at least they should give us the option to turn the hostility feature on or off when creating a game!

Smite will ignore their defense. It's uninterruptible and it has stun and knockback.

Edit: On another note I've downed Ubers with only 1 pt in Smite.

This sums it up pretty well....

Really only one point in smite? Ive never tried that but I guess it shows how insane a skill for killing bosses smite is eh?

A smiter can do it solo easy.....you dont need a team to do ubers at all....also a lot of melee characters if built and equipped properly can manage. As long as you have a fair bit of crushing blow, tons of stacked resistance and some form of life steal(for a smiter its always lifetap) you wont have a problem if your careful.

We are talking about death, not leaving/joining

If people die then thats there fault for sucking I guess....whats that have to do with anything....if they make the player cap for games higher then 8 or w/e you can still lower it in games you create and play however you wish if it bothers you that much.

    No they couldn't.

Losing one party member in a 4 player game is to lose 25% of your strength, and perhaps a vital member such as a tank.

Losing one party member in a 8 player game is to lose 12.5% of your strength, which isn't going to affect you much at all, you can just continue on.

Just as losing a member in a 2 ppl party is a 50% reduce of strength and a major problem for the remaining member.

Losing a member in a 20 game is a 5% strength loss, which is essentially nothing. The single player has no importance for the team, which isn't to encourage cooperative play.

And the control thing, which has nothing to do with balance really.

When players leave or join the monsters scale accordingly tho. So if you lose 50% of your party or 12.5% or 1% does it really matter if the monsters scale the instant that happens to accommodate for that loss? no it dont....its not like wow where a boss requires a certain amount of dps tanks and healers to down.
