posted a message on PC Action Magazine Teases DiabloFans.com
I can't remember who did it, but a member of this fansite verified with sources a couple of weeks ago that PCGamer staff were spotted at the Blizzard event held in May for the press. Can we see if PCAction was spotted there too? I doubt anyone would've taken notice since they are a smaller company.

Yeah what's up with that mikys? You can spin 9/9/9 around to be.....

Other than that, I have no idea where you're coming from.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Confirmed?
You're right Richwood. This has been discussed a lot of times. Almost like a broken record. It is logical speculation, but nothing new. But my personal thoughts about Blizzard --- No, I don't think Blizzard folks are a-holes to just bring hype for the sake of hype. They're too busy developing addicting games that blow our minds for a decade.

posted a message on If D3 does come true...what would you do?
I'm with Zarwo. I'm a freak about reading manuals. My brother now has a 2 week old daughter, but I'm sure he'd abandon her for some quality multiplayer D3 time. She'll understand when she grows up and D4 is released in 10 years.

does anyone know the exact date of the magazine release ?
I read on a PC Gamer forum that the street date always falls on a Thursday. Sorry I don't have an exact date for you.

I seriously doubt this has to do with Diablo. We're 5 1/2 weeks away from WWI. The next PC Gamer magazine will drop in less than a month. Can you imagine a Diablo announcement coming from PC Gamer rather than from Blizzard?

I applaud the hope and speculation though.

Log on to the Europe server, the number of active players is higher than the standard East/West/Etc. servers.

Thanks Magistrate. That's a good start. I'd like to see some comparative sales #s before I buy into the theory. I'll see what I can dig up. Europe vs Asia vs North America. Sounds like the Olympics.

So many people on this site take it like gospel that Europe is the Diablo fan hub. I want to be a believer in this theory, because it would obviously increase the likelihood of an announcement in 46 days.

What's the significance of it being in Paris, did I miss something?
Many draw a connection between the Starcraft II announcement last year being in Seoul, South Korea, because that's supposedly where the biggest fan base is. The same conclusion can be drawn if you believe that Europe is home to the biggest fan base for the Diablo franchise. That's the significance of Paris.

I've still never seen any hard facts to support this assumption.

Many sites shook on May 1 ... but if you throw a rock into a pond, you will still see ripples going off outwards...

This may sound soft, but I feel honored to have received The News from this site, rather than from an external article linking here. Even though I have only been viewing this site for a year, and a member since February, I feel like it's my backyard. I can only imagine the excitement of the 5-10 year members.

Does anyone else feel this odd sense of pride to be located in the source of the ripples before the rock hit the pond?

All of Diablo fans base are belong to blizzard

Butcher, that made me laugh. Thanks.

I've taken the last day and a half to read all the posts and mull over the news. I'm in the camp that sees this as significantly consequential news. I'm also in the camp that believes MD and crew were not responsible for overhype (minus the diaper comment). MD especially did a good job of attempting to keep an even keel within this raucous community.

Those feeling victim to overhype ought to save that rage for the inevitable day when hack-n-slash is reborn. The day is nigh upon us friends.

    Keep the fervor!
