Most of my knowledge about English does come from PC games. Seriously.
About the violence in games: if your a retarded little child which takes everything too serious in those games, than it could be dangerous. Just like matal music and satanism/occultism.

Well, what I know for certain is that the Barbarians consider Mt. Arreat as their most holy and sacred place.

Do you say the barbs are Armenians? lol (no offense, just joking)
Actually the characteristics of the barbs are very similiair to the medieval middle eastern folks. But Mt. Arreat is on the north end of the Diablo world, isnt it?

Interesting. So does that mean Turkey claims that there mountain is the one that contains the ark and not Armenia's?

Oh, didnt see that post. well, both mt. ararat and mt. cudi are in the territory of Turkey. and i dont exactly know why mt. ararat is so important for the Armenians.

    Wikipedia, again:
"Ararat rises from a flat plain and dominates the skyline of Armenia's capital, Yerevan. Since ancient times, Ararat has been revered by the Armenians as their spiritual home. Today, it is the national symbol of Armenia, where it is sometimes called Masis (Մասիս). Mount Ararat is featured in the center of the Coat of Arms of Armenia. ..."

Does anyone know what the meaning of "spiritual home" may exactly be?

EDIT: Can anyone actually see a connection between Noah's Ark and the Ancients??? or the worldstone?

    From Wikipedia:
"...Nevertheless, Biblical literalists today continue to take the Ark as test-case for their understanding of the Bible, and to explore the region of the mountains of Ararat in northeastern Turkey where Genesis says Noah's Ark came to rest. ..."

So according to the Bible, it is supposed to be on Mt. Ararat but in the Qur'an (not Kor'an, my fault), it is written that it landed on "Mt. Cudi"(?)... You choose which one to believe.

    Hey i live in Turkey.
I just took a look into Wikipedia and cant believe that Mt. Ararat is actually the well known "Agrı Dagı" (its Turkish name) of Turkey. But i dont know any myths or something about it. I also live in the west side of Turkey while Mt. Ararat is on the east side.
By the way, i just read in the Turkish Wikipedia that according to the Kor'an, Noah's ark is supposed to be on another mount of Turkey.

I was in a hurry last night so i couldnt write much, im gonna try to make it clearer.

Firstly, in my first post here i said that real rock is the heavy metal of today which wasnt true at all. Bands like Metallica, AC/DC etc. came after Pink Floyd, Beatles or whatever. just never thought that way.

    Secondly,
I really sometimes wander how to distinguish between rock and pop because they cross a lot in my opinion.

That was actually what made me think that he spoke of the crude music genre which is called rock today and is just another version of bad pop.

    And finally,
I got the impression that your definition of rock necessarily requires grizzly sounds...

No i never meant that, sorry

I don't think he knows what Alan Parson is, BUT, just because he likes pop doesn't mean he doesn't like any kind of rock. I like pop too. A lot of people like pop they just don't know what it is really...

don't really care what mix or blend or whatever. music starts sucking off when it's produced only for commercial benefit.

You deleted Alan Parson out of there, what's your problem?
I took the other post you sent, the previous one.

That may actually be what DarknessAngel likes, how do you know? It's not your screaming metallic rock it's progressive rock...
I have yet to listen to Alan Parson but i do respect progressive rock, it is of good quality. Lets ask DarknessAngel if he knows anything about Alan Parson or if he does listen to any of the bands you have listed, i dont think so but if he really does than i have nothing to say.

I think he is talking about the end of the spectrum, AC/DC, Metalica, Judas Priest... they where considered rock, but now its more less metal.
The old rock contained a wide array of music.

    Exactly.

True, but what DarknessAngel was talking about has nothing to do with theese neither.

i like pop, i was sad how i couldnt vote pop and rock ._. for me, pop+rock = awesomenessess!!! pop has the beat that makes me just wanna hum along with it O_O

Did you know that the real (old) Rock music is the same as the Metal genre of today? The rock music that you are speaking of is probably just pop+..a little more guitar(?)..
And why did you say that Emos are listening to Metal? Their music is not even close to real Metal music.

Nice to see so many votes on Metal and Rock. My vote goes to Metal.
AlphaX, Im listening to Wintersun now and it is totally awesome. Do you also listen to Opeth? Their style is very similar to Wintersun. Heres their song Blackwater Park if you dont already know it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loGXDKEwFZs

    faster than a bullet
    terrifying scream
    enraged and full of anger
he's half man and half machine
    rides the metal monster
    breathing smoke and fire
closing in with vengeance soaring high

    faster than a lazer bullet
    louder than an atom bomb
    chromium plated boiling metal
    brighter than a thousand suns
    flying high on rapture
    stronger free and brave

    who is this?
