posted a message on Kadala needs a buff!
Absolutely not. She needs a nerf if anything. I got my 3pc zuni + MoJ AND my entire leapquake set + 2-3 IK pieces in ~5 hours of very efficient RiF farming.

That is my armory, and my crusader got pants + G Foote + helm from Kadala in a few hour time period a few weekends ago. She is a blessing and a curse. At this rate I will have all 6 classes decked with nothing more than a few stat point upgrades here and there. It's great for now, but it will be boring once they are at that point.

Did some of you people ever meet Gheed? He makes Kadala look like Santa Claus.
This is probably the best thing that has been said in this post. Thanks for awful memories of spending millions of gold only to get not a single unique item...... That guy was an ass.

OT: RiF in its current form is fine. As an active runner and leecher, there are benefits to both sides. Want to rift with friends for hours and only spend 5 keys? Be a runner/runners. Want to spend a ton of keys staring at a chat log to gamble? Be a leecher.

Currently I think blood shards are worth more than they should be due to Kadala dropping GG gear too often. I geared out my WD in 3 hours with 4 piece Zuni (3 + RoRG), MoJ, Tasker and Theo, and the toad weapon.

So IMO, nerfing Kadala a bit would be the best route. But RiF honestly is fine, and for the first time in a LONG time, I have met some friends through it in which I actually play with, which is cool.

It can drop but it's just really really really really rare.

I'm back to gambling weapons for a Wand of Woh. It's insane and I might never get it but meh... don't care. Spent 40k so far, not even a legendary wand IIRC, just very few useless weapons like Nutcracker and Nailbiter ;-)
Over the past few weeks I have spent every single blood shard on 2H weapons on my Crusader (searching for FotF). About 8k I went through without finding a single leg. Then another 8k or so since the buff to legendaries, and I got it yesterday! You'll get it, just keep gambling away...

Um there was no ladder only loot in D2. When we had ladder reset you can get the exact same items in non ladder. And who is this "WE" that didn't enjoy ladders in D2? everyone I knew loved ladder resets. and a heck of a lot of people only came back to D2 when the ladder DID reset.
I don't know how you long played D2 for, but this is absolutely false. There was ALOT of ladder only items and ladder only runewords. Sure once the ladder season was over the gear got converted to non-ladder, but NEVER could you find ladder only items playing non-ladder. Unless of course that has changed in the last 2 years, but I highly doubt it.
I have played D2 since the first year it was released. I did not play much LOD but stayed in HCCL (LOD was to easy) And no there was not ladder only items. Like I said. When the ladder did reset there was nothing new. same items in ladder as in non ladder. no idea what your talking about.
EDIT: Site I found was LOD, forgot there were no Druids in original!

    THIS ISNT DIABLO 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think you may have missed the point. The point is not "Diablo 2 was a better game", or even close to that. The graphics, gameplay, combat fluidity were all vastly improved by Diablo 3. However, the lack of being able to work towards specific gear/goals makes the game feel very lackluster after a few weeks of playing. That's really it.

I also played WoW for nearly 10 years, and have recently quit. However, with WoD's lack of flying and the new garrisons, I will absolutely be coming back to play. We have differing opinions, there is no need to post angrily over it.
How can you not work toward your goals in diablo 3...because it takes longer than you'd like?
It's not the length that I am bothered by. I don't care if it would take an entire year to get something I really wanted and had to work for. The issue is there is a chance that I will literally never see something that I am searching for (i.e. Tal's Set). Now that same extremely low chance was probably the same if not worse in Diablo 2. The difference being in all that time I was searching for Tal's Set, maybe I found IK set. Now with this newly found IK set, I can trade into getting the Tal's Set that I sought after for so long.

It's easy to compare Diablo 3 to Diablo 2 because well... it's the same series, but it's also in my case a game that I am very familiar with. I hear PoE has a really strong trade system as well, but I am not familiar with it so the comparison would not be based on experience, which I believe is crucial.

I still cannot fathom that people ENJOYED or even LIKED the trading that was present in D2. The only decent and reliable trading was done OUTSIDE of the game through d2jsp. Who the heck felt it was fun to spam trade chat or go into games and spam your chat for hours on end versus actually getting to play the game?
I did. I cannot tell you how much fun I had trading in D2. It allowed me to work towards specific gear that I needed to finish off a character. For example, if I needed a HoZ for my hammerdin, but could not find one farming, I could take some of the gear I did find farming, and either trade it directly for the Hoz, or for high runes/SoJ's to eventually trade for a HoZ. This way there was always progression in getting the shield that I needed as I palyed, not "let's play for a week straight and hope I get one." The trading in D2 also allowed you to come back from having a deleted account due to inactivity, to getting at least a little bit of gear able to farm Hell Meph in a rather short time.

I played RoS pretty hardcore when it came out, but I have barely touched it the past two weeks as I don't see much of a point anymore. I understand the "well play because it's fun" thing, but I play games to be challenged, and to work towards specific goals. I do NOT expect the gear that I want to just drop after two days of gameplay, but I DO want a way to be able to actively work towards acquiring said gear. Perhaps the game just isn't for me, but I completely agree with the OP on this one. I don't have all the time in the world to play like I used to, so for the few hours I can play here and there, I would like those hours to be meaningful in stepping towards reaching personal goals within the game.

I've never seen someone so buttravaged over the fact that other people are having fun. You must be a blast at parties, Do you complain when people dance incorrectly to music? Flirt improperly? Eat "wrong"?
I could not stop laughing at this part. Thanks for a good laugh during lunch.

OT: I could see the OP's argument if everything wasn't account bound. But with everything being BOA I don't see how someone else's progression bothers someone so much.

I believe there is a thread on this, and the answer is no. It worked in beta for a short while (or alpha I can't remember) and they fixed it to drop loot with respect to the difficulty it was attained in.
