Is that so? Then how do you explain Barbarian skills like the Warcries
Here's the definition of the skill War Cry from bnet (confusing I know)
I don't know you, but to me it sounds a lot like the Nephalems' power
Thats just your opinion, to me those powers could be magic based. I know in Naruto there is all that stuff about Chakra, and thingy lets one open up his gateways to it to give him incredible dtrength.
So maybe the ancient powers of the barbs is to channel a magic in order to get a constant flow of adrenaline or to increase their strength.
To say it is Nephalim is only speculation we don't actually know.

The concept of the Nephalem isn't completely new. The stuff in the Sin War Trilogy does have roots in the Diablo games.
Ancients: "We are the spirits of the Nephalem, the Ancient Ones..."
Anya: "I believe that the Ancients were more than human -- that mankind has fallen from what it once was."
Also, I can support Veltras' dates. It says on the back of the Sin War books that it takes place "3000 years before the darkening of Tristram". And we know that the Dark Exile happened hundreds of years ago. I don't remember how we know, I just know that we know. But at the least, we know this:
Izual: "The plan we set in motion so long ago cannot be stopped by any mortal agency."
The Binding of the Three: "In the ancient days, before the rise of the Western Empires, the dark and terrible entities known as the Three Evils were exiled to the world of Man."
'So long ago' and 'ancient days' clearly means it didn't happen recently.
I believe that every class (except for the mages) get their power from their nephalic side. Mages are different because they call upon the power of magic. But for classes like the Druid, Barbarian and Necromancer, they are using nephalic powers.
The Sin War trilogy basically let us know that anything a human does that is more than a normal human should be able to do is regarded as their nephalic powers being used. The whole 'let humans grow to their potential' thing did happen 3000 years ago, so it indicates that all the clans and orders that have developed since then are honing their 'birthright' powers.
Mages are an exception because the nature of magic is different. They were able to cast spells even when the Worldstone was taking away their 'birthright'.
The Nature of Magic
Magic is an extremely powerful force, the manipulation of which is carefully studied, frequently learned, but is never fully mastered. Enchantments exude an aura that can be sensed by many, but years of training are required to properly exploit the Mana that pervades the world.
Some scholars use natural manifestations to explain the workings of the universe. In a common archetype, the physical world is linked to the sky while the ethereal realm of magic is set as an ocean. If we follow this line of thought, spells are much like turbulence that occurs where the two interact with each other. During the Sin War, Demon and Angel alike wrought powerful magicks that threatened to tear the fabric of reality apart. The physical and magical realms began to blur and merge, which, in our archetype, would be the equivalent of a fierce hurricane.
The forces of Order sought to preserve our reality by limiting the power of mortal man. As a consequence, only the strongest wills can harness more than the most basic of magical effects. Even then, much energy is lost in the transition of power between the two Realms. As a practitioner of the arcane rate grows more knowledgeable he is able to create these effects with greater efficiency, resulting in spells that are more potent, have more endurance and drain less Mana in their casting.
Im not sure i agree with the magic part. All throughout the novels those of the mage clans had little power in comparison to higher demons, angels and those with the nephalim powers. Yes Bartuc and Horazon definitely made a big impression, but most human's magic power was child's play in comparison.
And also, could it be that the barbarian bloodline is just incredibly strong. It might not necessarily be nephalim powers. If the barbarians are the sons of Bul Kathos then that lineage alone may be strong enough to defeat a prime evil considering how brutal BK was.

First, the Sin War is the war between Angels and Demons to get the souls of humanity, it never ended and it's still going on.
Second, the events of Diablo2 happened about 3000 years after the Sin War trilogy, and there's several hundred years between The Dark Exile and the events of Tristram.
Third, it took Uldyssian only months for his power to fully manifest which almost destroyed Sanctuary and he is just a simple farmer Lol. Maybe D2 heroes aren't technically Nephalems, but they are at least imo the beginning of a new generation, and with the destruction of the Worldstone any humans will now be able to "unlock" their Birthright with just a little help... just a little.
um..you do know that he didn't manifest his powers himself right? Thats why they erased everyones memory because they were not ready for it. Lilith was the cause of all of that. And once again, Diablo 2 was before the concept of Nephalem, it was never intended for them to be using their birth right. And where do you get your dating? Especially for the tine between the Dark Exile and the events in Tristram?

I think that when Inarius sucked it`s power he altered it, or I may be wrong. Nonetheless I recall for sure that Inarius saw the alteration, it was like a core alteration(the very structure of the elements was changed) not like Inarius or Lilith.
And at the end, Mephisto and the Council make a deal about it but it`s not writen what it is. I assume that they altere it so the nephalem `s powers grow more slowly like before Lilith changed it.
And finaly some1 who thinks like me. Thje heroes in D2(and posibly in D1, or atleast the wanderer) are humans with growing nephalem powers.
Actually they did speak of it kind of indirectly if i recall correctly. Tyreal had the choice to choose and noted that what he saw in humans was good and it should be allowed to grow. Mephisto agreed. And also both agreed they had to make their OWN way in the universe and that their powers were revealed to them too early for them to understand. In result, they decided that all humans' memory of the incidents spilling over in sanctuary, including their powers. In time they would manifest themselves.
So I'm sure they altered the stone in order for the powers to remain dormant. Whether or not the powers of Diablo 2 are the powers of their "Birth Right" I do not know, but it can be speculated so. But to me, those powers would take a very long time to manifest themselves and Diablo 2 is barely any time past the Sin War because from my perspective, "The Dark Exile" and Diablo's takeover of Tristram all happened very quickly. But the Sin war itself lasted for a long time according to lore, but for how long we don't know. But in Demonsbane, or rather a description after Demonsbane brought to us by MD we say that Siggard fought for the forces of light for a very long time past a normal human's life because of his ability to escape death.
It was always my speculation though that Diablo 2 wasn't a display of that power for a few reasons. One being, it was prior to Knack's Sin War trilogy. This leads into the second point of why I think their powers did not manifest in Diablo 2. It would be much more likely that the creators of Diablo III would play off the story and use all the new lore provided by Knack. So in my opinion Diablo III is when we may see those powers finally again.

It's the people that follow Uldyssian, the one responsible for saving Sanctuary originally from both angels and demons single handedly.

Not me personally, I have stated who the characters from d1 became in D2 for many months if not years.
Yes it does, but in the interest of carrying on the story, it can only be one of them, as the wanderer appeared so prominently in the sequel. And as he was a white male, he must have been to only white male character from the previous game who had a video of him shoving the stone in his head, thus he is the warrior.
It's contradictory, but that's how things go.
Possible, but since Blizzard told us, throughout the sequel what happened to the previous characters, we know who he is. You might have issues with that, if you do I don't blame you, 3 different videos of 3 different people doing the same thing, yet only one of them can truly have done it. But Blizzard wrote the story and they can write it however they want. Or Rewrite as is often the case as well.
Nope no issues, the story is open to change. That is all very true, the story is ongoing and can be changed, it is their story after all, minor changes like that don't BOTHER me per say, i was just curious. Being a stickler about "staying true" isn't important just as it isn't important that 2 face got burned instead of acid to create his character. The story evolves and im ok with it :P.

The wanderer was most certainly the warrior.
He was a white male and carried a sword.
I know right...but somehow i felt the wanderer was supposed to be the hero of diablo which could be any of those other classes, of course it was the warrior but I dont think they wanted to actually say that it was because it would contradict a completed diablo game with a rogue or other.

Various NPCs dialogs tell you that, Charsi says Blood Raven fought the evil under tristram.
And Drognan/Jehren say the summoner was a Vizjerei mage who fought under Tristram.
Thats really cool but....didn't you at one time say that it is unclear as to who the summoner was? And how can that be correct, each character could have killed diablo and inserted the soulstone into their head and become the wanderer. I always felt that he was a wanderer because they didn't want to specify, if they specify it as the warrior who actually killed diablo it would contradict the ending to diablo if you chose another class other than the warrior. I though this out a little because of the summoner thing, i remember a long discussion among these forums about who the summoner was and speculations on who he is.

i just finished reading Demonsbane. In the end tyreal was having a little chat with Siggard and told him that he was neither alive nor dead that when he died by pure human force and vitality he escaped death.
My first question is this. Tyreal said that two people have done this, anyone every heard of the first to escape death?
Question 2 Was that a strand of Nephalem birthright that allowed him to do this?
