I was running a manitou/spider/queen/acid/eels build, basically a high AOE.
The reason I bring up the manitou range is because the patch note said the search RADIUS is up from 20 to 30 which would of course indicate that it should be calculated from the player.
I've been trying builds using manitou as some added AOE damage (against single targets it's pretty good).
Patch notes said the search radius was increased to 30 yards up from 20. This would lead me to believe that with the Witch Doctor as the origin of a circle it should extend 30 yards in every direction.
I just did some act 1 graveyard zombie testing and I can place an Acid Rain inbetween the WD and a zombie at the edge (or just inside) with Manitou active and no spirits will search. Acid rain's tooltip reads the area is increased to 24 yards, so I shouldn't be able to even get in range of a zombie to place one with Manitou active.
