hmm after some lengthy discussions with some people more experienced with this game, apparently only the host needs to be modded up, this definitely saves on time, everyone gets the game and those who are familiar with modding mod up, as those not familiar just come along for the ride.
yeah most definately. it was quite a headache downloading all those different mods haha.
man i wish i had more time so i could play with you dude but my schedule is hectic, and like i told you im involved with WoW. i wish you luck though. maybe sometime we can get down on IWD2.
I'm not. I'm getting into Warcraft and Starcraft and they are very fun games indeed. Oh and LOTRO got pretty gay. Its just like WoW except with a lord of the rings overtone. I just don't think I like MMO's or something, cuz DDO (also a very tight game itself) was uninteresting to me as well.
Sorry I can't join you in your endeavors Elfen. I think you should just go to that sorcerers.net place or one of the fan sites. I'm sure you could get a game going with those guys. Shoot its hard enough to get people to play LOD on a diablo 3 fan site haha
I just got a hold of Lord of the Rings Online, so I won't be accompaning you guys in playing Baldur's Gate. Looks like not too many people are interested in this. If LotRO is weaksauce I'll join you guys, but from what I heard, its good.
You know I'm up for it but I just need to install it again and with summer on the horizon I will be available a lot more(as long as I don't get a job muhahah)
Dark Alliance is totally different from this game. BG2 is a little more slow paced and there's a lot more lore and epicness. In Dark Alliance you mash buttons and drink potions constantly and are just swept along with the story, whereas in Baldur's Gate its a little more slowed down and you have to think about what you're doing a little more and you can do a lot of side quests and what not. For example, in Dark Alliance if you're a mage, you just press the Magic Missile button over and over again and then repot when you run out of mana. The battle system in BG2 is different in a sense that there's status effects, the host can pause, you need to rest to get your spells back, and there's a bit more strategerie(WTF?) involved.(However Elfen's guy destroys people and so far we just rolled through guys with little tactics and strategy. lol, his guy solo'd the 4 NPC's and me...)
In SP you control 6 people, but if you were to play with us you'd be only be controlling yourself.
come on now... try reading a bit.
let me quote what elfen put in the first post:
(incase you havent figured it out, im talking about the computerised advanced Dungeons and Dragons game, Baldur's Gate 2, you will require several extra content adding modifications to the game)
