well mac attack, you have the start of a great argument. on the other hand they are excellent game makers, they have opinions from millions of players around the world, ghost was probably an attempt on a prequel of some kind like WoW is, and Starcraft is something that is easily maneuverable. i mean, you can go anywhere with starcraft. the marines or the zerg can get their hands on plasma blades, or the zerg can adapt to harsher conditions.
the other reason is that it is a great game like diablo. diablo and starcraft are at the same level, always competing for more sales or players. to me rts's are a bit boring unless your playing with a friend or brother in the next room. but others would disagree. the point is that i dont think that starcraft is even near the end, though in my opinion it would be the third in place for the blizzard productions. personally i like the clickfest of diablo. where in a second you can die. starcraft is trickier, you need strategy too. to me at least with diablo it takes very long and a lot of work to make a godly character. starcraft is way faster.
well, i think that diablo will also come before sw. and frankly i think that we would all be overjoyed with either though. the fact that i love all blizzard games makes me happy that we will be seeing a new one soon. the only one i would have problems with would be another warcraft game. i dont think i would quite handle that. mainly because we deserve diablo and starcraft before another warcraft.
i cant afford wow so i cant play it. last warcraft i played was 2 and i liked it. Warcraft is popular for a reason so no one can really say it sucks with out a very large amount of proof. this proof can not contain personal opinions or opinions of others.
blizzard is not as corrupt as Square Enix because they still produce quality and original games. these games are franchises and they dont play the same card over and over. blizzard also has a reputation of not beating dead horses. square enix has tried to squeeze as much money as they can out of the Final Fantasy series. finally they at least gave us something we wanted which ended up being Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children.
Blizzard has announced they are working on two other projects and that they are also hoping to expand the diablo and starcraft franchises. i can say with reason that blizzard has only broken promises twice (if im wrong please correct me) and that is because they got stuck or began on something they lost interest for. answer me this: if you lose interest in something and continue working on it without passion, why should you impress others?? if you dont like your own product then why would others want it?? it seems stupid to me to accuse and attack blizzard when they have done nothing to anger you.
if what you want hasnt come yet its because its not ready. "patience is a virtue", and "great things come to those who wait." are quotes that have a very strong meaning in our current situation. just wait. focuse on something else. right now im into Guild Wars Factions and D2 LoD. i also work and go to school. do something and stay busy and it wont seem so long.
it seems that blizzard has been putting a very large ammount of attention on warcraft especially because its been the only games its been producing the last 5 years. its warcrafts turn. wait for diablo's and for starcraft. when you have no good ideas for something you put it off. when you get a lot of them you jump in and stay there for a while. if diablo is next in line i would not be surprised if it had two or three games before starcraft began. if its different than this they will probably work on them at the same time.
think of the pro's and con's of what you want and you will see the wisdom i have given. just wait. hopefully we will get what we want soon.
i agree that starcraft has future potential as a mmo but for now needs to be kept as a rts. diablo should stay a hack and slash game that has greater potential to be a mmo. warcraft is an awesome mmo. there are so many possibilities for the blizzard games.
