You need to try some old Metallica. They have really good stuff.
(Kill'em All or Ride the Lightning is your best bet.
Metallica's not bad, and most of their old stuff is alright. I just don't listen to a whole lot of their songs anymore for some reason.
The only likely difference between legions is some have a lot more active members in it than others. Whether the legion has lots of people or not makes no difference. What matters is the ratio of active members to inactive members.
After doing some research (not a whole lot, though - I'm admittedly one of the laziest people I know), I think have my decision narrowed down to two legions (Legion of the Damned or GXAII), assuming either are accepting.
I probably will hold off applying until I reach a decent post-count, though. At least 50 or so, just to try and prove myself a little more, since, again, I've only been here a few days but I do have every intention of staying active. You guys have no way of knowing that, and it wouldn't be fair to clog up your application thread with a bogus post, eh?
Haha, well...I figure I'll go ahead and apply to join soon. I like way SICK is set up and how well everyone seems to get along, and you've all been so nice to me already that it'd be a shame to pass it up.
Regarding legions, though, I don't really have a preference. I'm the type of person that's happy where I'm most needed, just as long as I'm not a burden.
I'll be doing some more research on my own, but does anyone have any suggestions for which I should apply for? I know it all comes down to preference, but like I said, I'm happy going anywhere.
Well you can ask to sign up, then they say that you are, but before you become a full member you would have to wait until after 100 posts.
That's good to know. I'll keep that in mind, and will go check it out soon.
And Siaynoq: I thought the same thing when I first saw it. I was like, "Lord of the ...typo?" And then I saw Stonebreaker's signature, and it all became clear. That'll take some getting used to, heh.
On a completely unrelated note: over 3 pages? Wow, I feel popular.
If you do want to join SICK, you should go and sign up. You should sign up for LoTD.:D
Oh, I've thought about it. My only concern is that I just recently signed up for the forums, so I'm not that well established around here. And with the possible move to USWest, I'm not established there, either.
I would love to, though. I've never really been part of an active guild/clan/legion before, so it'd be nice to finally be able to do that. I'll definitely check it out, and try to sign up soon. I just feel I should get a little more established around here first, since my account's only a few days old. Unless that doesn't matter, haha.
Haha, no worries of being creeped out by the mad. I've already learned that it's no use trying to stay above the madness; just join in and enjoy it.
And thank you for the compliments. I can't really take credit for the avatar (just a cropped image - my signature is another story), but using somewhat proper typing on forums/in chat is something I pride myself in. No use in writing it if no one can read it, right?
And to Saiynoq: I'll be sure to add you as soon as I get myself established on USWest. I've decided that I'll make an account there (probably within the next day or so) just to test the waters, and I may end up staying.
And yeah, it is pretty tits ass cold here. We had some rain and warm weather yesterday afternoon that suddenly turned into cold winds, ice, and a semi-blizzard last night.
I've actually considered going to USWest for a bit, to get a break from the USEastards. Seems you can't get a good multiplayer game to save your life (though I mostly solo, so it doesn't matter much anyway, aside of runs).
But yeah, thanks again. I have a feeling that I'll enjoy my stay here.
Hello there. I just figured I would introduce myself before cruising around the other forums and stuff.
Well, for starters, my name's Jess, I'm 25 years old and I live in the western part of lower Michigan. I've been a huge Diablo fan ever since the first game was released on Playstation (the Butcher scared the crap out of me when I first ran into him, lol), and I've been loyal to the series ever since.
I currently play on ladder, USEast. I'm returning to the game after a long absence (moving from Tennessee to Michigan took awhile), so I'm slowly but surely building myself back up to where I used to be. It's pretty fulfilling to be able to start completely from scratch and end up with a decent amount of wealth. I like the challenge.
Other than Diablo, I love music and video games. I mostly listen to symphonic metal or bands like Dragonforce, though nothing is wrong with the occassional 80s rock or modern "alternative" (i.e. Disturbed, etc). And I'm all over the place with video games, so I won't bore you with those details.

I think that's it. So, yeah...hi and stuff.
