I would avoid double post as muc has possible, there are a few exceptions though, such as news updates or Role Playing threads, but in regards to general chit chatting, it's frowned upon.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
You would not call Elfen Lied "Elf" would you? I do not think so, please give me the same courtesy.
Actually, we do. We call him Elfen. And he has enough dignity not to make a huge deal out of it like you are.
My username is two words, so just using the first is quite acceptable. But with single name words I tend to use the full word. unless its two parts, like Chaosdragon, then I might just use the first part (Chaos), but for a name like Aphrodite or Equinox I would use the full name.

Odin and Ra aren't really equals. You could compare Odin to Zeus. Ra is the creator, Odin is the "king of the gods" He, like Zeus, assumed power by overthrowing the current regime with the help of his siblings.
Ra created the world and all things in it. Odin just lives in it.
My Egyption mythology is rusty I may be wrong I could be thinking of Amon-Ra assuming they are seperate entities. Too many semi-pointless gods I never bothered to learn up on.
Aphrodite is my screen name not who I am.
Except for when in a Role Playing capacity.

BDSM sigs and avatars? I think that may be against the rules lol
That would depend on the nature of the site, here it would be against the rules, but it wouldn't be on a site for that sort of thing. That would be like us banning Diablo based avys. Well almost.
Welcome ma'am. Nice to see such an old member return.
It is always nice to see old members returning. I just hope their activity remains high.

It mostly gets Shortened to Elfen.
Elf seems some what derrogitory. You! Elf! Get over here!
Yet, I suppose ironically, that is infact what Elfen means. It is german for Elf.
Aphro would not be acceptable. I do not like to have my name shortened, out of respect, I do not shorten the names of others, I desire the same respect.
Aphrodite would lose its meaning and effect if it were to be shortened.
Love the new sig nd avy by the way, nice.

Welcome back, at the risk of sounding cliche if not sappy, I have missed you around here. Much has happened while you were gone, not sure where to begin.
Well hope you stick around for a while. Inactivity is fairly rampant here it saddens us somewhat, though
the return of the Goddess, is a most glorious occasion.
