I had the chance to play Diablo 3 PvP at Blizzcon the last two years. Everyone was given preset mediocre gear, and there was still a large amount of one shotting going around. Then, if it wasn't a one shot, it was an insta kill. You have to remember there will potentially be FOUR players wailing on you...not just one.
Long story short, you die frequently and quickly, yet it still managed to be super fun. The line to play PvP was always like 10 times longer than the line to play the PvE demo. Hopefully that gives us some indication as to how popular PvP will be when it finally comes out.
I'll for sure be playing.

Chadicus you are spot on with this idea. A simple buff would be all it takes to get rid of super imbalances DPS potentials of certain classes.
Of course they would have to fine tune it and tweak the percentages so that PvP still feels fun.
