It is a bummer that games are being led by the PvE kids. I don't understand why the game cant be balanced separately, for both PvE and PvP. The lack of attention to PvP just seems like laziness.
If you think this is an easy task, you should work in gaming, since to my knowledge no design team has ever done it successfully.
That's obviously because they are just too lazy. I mean it's not like if they make a better game they will end up having more sales or something.
I would certainly love more PvP features. I don't know if they will add them, but I mainly want D3 for the hack n slash dungeon crawling co op gameplay, so this isn't exactly a huge issue for me. Also, people seem to forget that Diablo 3 pvp is already more competitive that Diablo 2 pvp. The PvP in it has been brought up to the next level, even if they don't have a ladder or anything else for it.
People will probably just do what they did in Diablo 2, make their own ladder on and track the best PvPers.

I think you should be more worried about Blizzard stiffing the people that want that =/
I quite honestly think he's just trying to reassure people that PvP will not effect PvE at all, he's just doing it in a horrible way.
