I hope when the expansions come they'll add more modes to pvp, or perhaps on a big patch? Right now it seems only team deathmatch is up there????
I actually am kind of less ragy now, the more bash and kav are commenting on it the more assured I am that this game is going to be really good. Perhaps these new features will make it and be better than the past ones? we'll see
There will be expansions like SC2 has? so we don't get the full story from the first game? Or it will be like Diablo 2 patch?
We're not entirely sure. It could work like D2 where an expansion can add an act, a few new characters, and new features. They plan to bring the talisman back somehow in an expansion. We're hoping there will be more than 1 expansion... they already gave WoW like 3 or 4? lol

Off topic :Lol people need to calm down at the D3 forums, bashiok is commenting everywhere, even kaivax posted. They could at least stick to certain threads and keep it civil <_<
Actually when Kaivax posted saying it's definitely Diablo, I felt better. I need some blizz quotes saying how fun the current build of d3 is!
Thanks for all the coverage!
Bashiok: "We want the game to essentially look like you're playing a painting. Everything is 3D, but the textures and ways that scenes are built are intended to give the look of a painted scene. Some games go for realism with a lot of shaders and high poly counts, that's just not our intent with the visual style. We want it to be a timeless aesthetic because we expect people are going to be playing for a long time. Looking back at cutting edge games even a few years ago and they don't tend to hold up very well, but for Diablo we want it to be as visually pleasing 10 years from now as it is the first time you play it.
Even videos really don't do the beauty of the game justice. I think anyone that's sat down to play can attest to that." That's what I'm talking about!
My biggest problem with RMAH is I spent 5 straight years on D2 without touching these sites once. I actually found it ridiculous people would buy it and would ask myself, what's the use of farming then now? Didn't play multiplayer for a long time after learning that.
I'm hoping it becomes frowned upon and not too common for d3 online with this RMAH, or I'll be pissed if everyone starts doing it.
Well, I also think buying items this way is stupid but it would happen either way. Lazy people will always do thigs the lazy way whether it is through an in game AH or 3rd party site. So, if it's going to happen, at least Blizzard is making it safe and doing it in a way that even the players who actually play the game have a way to make some real money out of it and maybe be lazy every now and then and buy an item or two with the money they earned selling their items.
Blizzard- catering to the lazy and inept since 2011
Congratz blizzard, you made real money an integral part to a video game. I liked it better when games were meant to be fun and away from the real world. Now the video game industry just keeps finding new ways to make things more "casual" and easier for people.
I do mostly agree with you, but I think you should look at it as a positive. I wish that 3rd party sites weren't an issure and people getting scammed didn't happen, but they are and people do and Blizzard is making an attempt to get rid of the shadey part. Less accounts getting hacked, less spam bots, less griefing.
It's not the games that are becoming more casual, but people are. It's just a side effect of the ever expanding technology of the internet, phones, computers, social networking. People like everything to be easy and everything is becoming apart of everything, therefore everything is easier. If Blizzard could make the game THEY wanted without having any concerns about 3rd party companies/websites or consumers, I am 100% sure the game would be way different. However, they don't get to decide what people want, and the majority want easy. Back when Diablo I and Diablo II came out video games were not as popular as they are now and they had a more "hard core" fan base, but that isn't the case nowadays.
I mean honestly, it's not Blizzards fault, it is the consumers fault. If they said screw it to the majority, they would not be where they are at today (Sucessful and Rich).
I have more to say on this but I don't really want to make it too long.
Hmmm... I think you're quite right honestly. More people are getting into video games and the industries making it easier to start playing for those reasons and others.
Although I don't agree with the attitude of those defending it. "It would happen anyway so why not let blizzard control the selling and make a profit." THAT to me is negative.
Meh, I'm not a fan so i'll probably do as I always did, stick to playing with friends or myself.
Now getting rid of skill points... could or could not work. The idea of having items and level effect it mostly is interesting, but I don't think I'll have an opinion on it until I play.

Reading that D3 will have a Money-Based AH literally makes me sick to my stomach. Someone that starts the game 6 months late, but has $100 to blow, will suddenly be more geared than me (who will have started on day one). Or some lazy-fat kid is going to be better geared than me because he mommy will buy him everything. You might say "well you can buy items too" -- no! Fuck that, I refuse to by virtual items. I will also refuse to sell virtual items for real money. I will refuse to play with anyone that spends real money on items. Thanks Blizzard for this absolutely stupid new system. And wow, yeah, lets just let complete noobs buy a character. Fucking brilliant Blizzard (I hate you). You might have just turned me into a SWTOR fan... or maybe Guild Wars 2.
Get over it. I don't see why you care if someone gets better gear than you as soon as he joins compared to your 6 months of farming. It sounds to me like you didn't enjoy your 6 months of farming so you dislike the guy who bought your exact items as soon as he joins.
Your hatred will pass or just don't play a game you won't enjoy playing.
All in All: Don't worry about someone else, worry about you.
I get your attitude, but what you just said is akin to, " get over it son, your brother got a new bike for being a good boy, you just had to get one by actually working for 6 months."
You have to choose your items and which skills to pick( a few other too probably, but these are the main 2). They decides to take away skill distribution and number crunching so you don't have to work as hard. A kind of disturbing trend i've been noticing in most gaming today.
I play video games to have fun and get away from reality(to roleplay, that's why it's called an rpg), the thought that people can buy items off of sites always irked me and made me want to play single player. Real money makes me think of reality, and it saddens me the company itself is now using money to be an integral part of trading. It's ironic how they've been trying to push for improved multiplayer and getting people to play it, yet this is something that repulses me away from playing with others. It's like the guy above posted, you go to work to make money, not play some video game.
This will most likely make me play hardcore and still continue down my mostly singleplayer path.
The other new things weren't even exciting enough that this new info has underwhelmed me more than any past information announcement. I stayed up until midnight for this <_<
