what's the big deal about graphics anyway, after playing for so time everyone will not even notice it or their attention will be bothered with other things. as long as you have the static view you tend to overanalize it that's the problem.
style of graphics and the feel it creates is a bigged deal to me than the actual quality of the graphics.
In all seriousness the art work looks great in the dungeons, the effects look great too. The artifacts, tables, amenities, and the rooms look really good.
not to me. I think its more tolerable outside than inside. Outdoors not dark and gloomy... ok, fine. Not what I would prefer, but ok. Bright and colorful dungeons though... where's all that light coming from?
I have taken stats, and those are all reasons why it can not be used to determine any sort of accurate representation of the players (which is what i said). However, that does not change the fact that it DOES show there are people who arnt happy about it.
@55 thousand, you can assume there is a sizable number of people unhappy. As for percentages, it cant tell you anything.
Other people whom I know dislike the current look just said forget blizzard and didnt even bother with the petition.
Its not an accurate representation, no; but it helps give you an idea. And it shows that there are a good number of people truly unhappy with it, and whom care enough to follow up on it.
Whats the signing ratio of the for and against petitions about the graphics? 1:20 ?
Yes i know there may hev been people that signed more than once and there are probably people who arent aware of the countering petıtıon. But the unhappy part is VERY big, thats for sure.
1:25 is more accurate; actually i think its more like 1:27 but i'm not entirely sure.
On top of that, we have homage to the first Zelda game, which features a sword that reaches a whole space, the same amount of space a human body occupies. Humans aren't that thick, but a sword can be many feet long. OMG, that is unrealistic too!! You should probably join a Zelda forum and bitch about the crazy sword length to body thickness ratio! What an awful game!
So is this a new point? Because it sounds like your stating this was already argued by someone else.
Will just pretend the game wasnt released around twenty years ago too. A compliments or not, zelda isnt diablo ;p
Im also very fond of mario, doesnt mean i want mario attributes in my diablo
So we've established that all this WOWish stuff won't affect gameplay, but the artistic direction. So what this comes down to is that the look of the horned belt and giant shoulder pads from ONE set of armor (OK, 2 different shoulder pads) is so awful that there are many people who are considering not buying the game, despite the fact that these issues won't affect game play, which is easily the most important part of any game? Even though we've seen the tiniest fragment of the total shoulder pad arsenal this game will undoubtably have? And yet you are gonna spend hours of your life bitching about a game you may not play? That seems kind of lame to me. On top of that, we have homage to the first Zelda game, which features a sword that reaches a whole space, the same amount of space a human body occupies. actually, zelda was mentioned because its the first game i know of that utilized the standard inventory system. Which was also stated not to be a bad thing, just a different system. Work on your reading comprehension.
And we dont know if gameplay will be affected, we just dont have evidence so far that it will. Personally, shoulder pads are the least of my concern.
art is one of the first things to be done, they dont start making the game with no direction. Art defines the direction. Majority of the art is probably done already.

They wouldn't release the site, gameplay trailer, and cinematic if they thought they were gonna "reset" again. :D:D:D:D:D:D
That makes for bad marketing, which is not what Blizzard is generally known for.
agreed, love it or loathe it, its here to stay, more or less. Besides i dont believe there was a first reset anyways... or at least not in the way they implied it. Stretching the truth is popular.
Loathe it, and all you can hope for is that the game really will get significantly darker, or that they allow us to configure the graphics to appease those upset.
original warcrafts used more neutrals and shades than warcraft 3, starcraft used more neutrals and shades than warcraft 3, wacraft 3 used alot more vivd colors, less shades and neutrals and more tints giving it a very different look from the previous blizzard titles.
lol, its not a mod, that original screen shot is starcaft, its just a screenshot of auir... which is bright and more vivid a tileset XD
visually; with exception to auir, ive always found starcraft to take on a darker palette as well as utilize a much more grunge style. The old warcraft 1 and 2 had more similarities with starcraft than warcraft 3 and wow do with starcraft. Warcraft 3 was much a spit in the face of the old warcraft style as diablo 3 is to the previous two diablo titles.
style of graphics and the feel it creates is a bigged deal to me than the actual quality of the graphics.
