imo, blizzard has already done enough by keeping the barbarian from diablo ii. it's always been my favorite class. many would agree that the barbarian defined diablo ii, and that one old class is enough to keep the nostalgia alive.
however, i think it'd be in their best interest to introduce three new classes for diablo iii. no rogues, no paladins, no assassins; a fresh new start. i would really like to see something that deviates from the new game's predecessor as well as world of warcraft.
it's a given that nobody wants old abilities and classes appearing in a new game, but there's always a chance that it will happen.
i'm not big on ideas right now -- it takes more than a day to think of new classes for what looks to be a promising best-selling game -- but i'm thinking that it'd be beneficial if blizzard took a step away from the cookie-cutter healer, assassin, spell caster theme and brought in something nobody's seen before.
