I don't see where you are pulling this from? Yes, he said he was going to give it free, but that doesn't imply he is on a high horse about it. Like he said, he did it to make it an easy transition. Since he wanted to see the Diablo-ball moving wouldn't he and the others want to make it as smooth and efficient as possible? I know I would.
I bet he was saying that about Starcraft II as well before it was announced.
I know right? Then jumped on the celebration bandwagon when it actually happened.
All I'm saying is... Blizzard wants money... THAT is their primary goal (alongside creating amazing games... which ties into making money). In order to do that, they must satisfy their fanbase. It is MUCH easier to make money from your fanbase, than move on and create a brand new game and create a completely new fanbase... so LOGICALLY and OBVIOUSLY, blizzard would not be dumb enough to rid themselves of the fanbase that basically set their reputation for their Hack n Slash genre. An amazing chunk of their fanbase was brought to them through Diablo. Theyre gonna monitor the HELL outta these forums... watching everything we say that we would and wouldnt like about D3, and adjust accordingly. Theyre going to probably send a couple blizz workers in as "fans" and get the inside scoop on what the fans want and need... if thats not obvious... idk..
Think of blizzard as a celebrity. Many people create fansites with a celebrities name in the url posting pics, and sometimes untrue blogs. Some fansites even have moderators pretending to be the celebrity, again, posting false statements. Celebrities have the right to sites like those because their name is copywritten... but do they take it down? Uhhh no... because that'd be a waste of time... a waste of their damn time... and ummm.. ITS FREE PUBLICITY?!?!? The only domain they would take is the one they would use to create THEIR professional fansite. I hope that analogy makes sense.. lol.. i can ramble from time to time:rolleyes:
How the fuck is it logic, get out of lala-wishy-hope land, you little pusseeey. You're in denial. Im trying to open the eyes for you, Ive been on this site 3 years almost and loved diablo since 1999, but diablo 3 is a very small chance. They have startcraft 2 and wow expansion each year to make.... so just sit here and hope my friend, but im done with this shit. Honestly. :cool:
Just a question: Why the hell are you even here? Youre negative about a possible D3 yet you're posting on its fansite. And you're calling Diablo a dead franchise when they have books coming out left and right AND patches are still being created for its sequel that was created years ago...
Tell me this... HOW would killing the D3 franchise benefit Blizzard? How would passing up that much dough make them a better company... and why would they go through the trouble of sarcastically / humourously avoiding the Diablo 3 topic when they could say: "nahh we're done with it"?
I think why blizz is doing this is because they're trying to buy out and take all the diablo 3 related impostant damains with alot of fans(like this one) and then in a couple of month turn them by pointing the url to the blizz home page, basically just destroying it. So that there are no hopes for D3, because, for instance, they're not even thinking about Diablo anymore. Its not me being pesimistic , but it's what it looks like, i mean look at all the other diablo 3 related sites that were bought off.. they all point to blizzard.com. Think about it, sorry if I offended anyone lol.
Blizzard = Company
Company = like money
Do you honestly think that blizzard would take the time to take down sites just to kill the diablo franchise which would make them TONS of money? They see that after YEARS... this site is still up and running, just like the others. Cmon now, think about it.. if blizz wanted, they couldve shut down every D3 site.. THEN made their own, but they did a smart thing, kept us fans TOGETHER, because we all inspire each other to stay hopeful through our friendships / blogs / etc. etc.
This is actually what I was expecting, and I knew for a fact this was going to be it.
Still a few things: http://www.hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=15519&page=8
I know he's a fake, but, he will reveal the binary code tomorrow.
The only reason people are gonna say it was "overhyped" is because:
A. They foolishly expected a Diablo 3 game announcement
B. We already guessed what the announcement was, so the surprise element was eliminated
Get off of your high horses and enjoy the moment... Blizzard would not go through remodeling and taking on this site if there was no Diablo 3... they'd simply take the rights and dispose of it.
I can say that I wasnt let down by this announcement, and start the countdown for WWI!!!

Its GONNA happen.
It was announced that it was just a way to build hype.. the x's had nothing to do with the relevance of the announcement.
Shouldn't you be busy never coming back?
