As you know in the ancient myth, Madusa was cursed to turn all who looked upon her into stone. So the quote matches, also the fact that the character portrayed in the image (Who's name escapes me) looks alot like Madusa.
yes Kerrigan and MEdusa have a similar "hair style" and their gazes do stuff to you, but in LOD you have an item called Medusa's Gaze, while its not quite the same as the Kerrigan/Medusa connection it still something to think about.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Judging by everything I have seen and read, I believe that we can safely say that Starcraft II will be announced. However, I think the real question is, will they stop there? Or will Diablo 3 also be announced.
SC II, as in the sequel to SC, is long overdue. almost ten years without a new SC game for PC.
but if you follow the timeline of Blizzard games, it would suggest Diablo II is next.
so i dont really know.
but if it is DIII, why announce it in Korea, the home of Starcraft and compeditive online play.
with it being announced in Korea i have a feeling it will be SC related. but i really want DIII, that is why i am here.
as for a double announcement, i.e both a new SC game nad a new Diablo game, would they do it? it would be somewhat of a surprise, but would they really do it? the games are vastly different, one is RTS, the other RPG or action adventure or Hack and Slash if you would prefer, point is they are different genres.
but fans of Blizzard games are fans of more than one franchise, i myself play all their franchises, save for WOW.
but would DIII as a game like LOD before it, a free to play online, Single Player game with Mutli Player components really be that much of a competition for a MMORPG like WOW? they are targeted at different markets with a bit of cross over.
idk guess im rambling.
SCII or DIII, im quite happen either way, so long as the announcement isnt WC related, but i want DIII more than SCII.

If by SC2 you mean Starcraft Ghost, yeah, that will be kewl.
how can SC: Ghost be SCII, they arent even the same genre, they arent even on the same machine. SC II would be on PC, SC: Ghost is on console.

this isnt a very good way for determining the next game is it?

WoW, warcraft III FT, warcraft III RoC, Warcraft II battle.net
Diablo II LoD, Diablo II, Diablo
Starcraft:BW, Starcraft
Blizzard (ds) arcade
4,3,2,1... quad release may 19th
you left a few WC games out or was that on purpose. WCII exp, WOW exp and WCI
and Blizard arcade has 2 games or was it 3, Lost vikings, that truck derby one and was there another?
I don't really think it'll be another Diablo game because that niche is already being filled with WoW.
WOW may share some similarites to Diablo yes, but its a vastly different game. Diablo had non online play WOW doesnt. Diablo was free to play online, WOW isnt,
A RTS game on the other hand will do nicely to fill the gap. Granted it's still being played incessantly in Korea (and on a minor scale other parts of the world), but those people are grasping onto a game nearly a decade old with highly dated graphics and gameplay. It's time for this company to get back to their roots and revisit the genre which made them so very popular.
almost 10 years without another SC game, (RTS or otherwise) screw WC, 8 games already, bring on some more SC.
This is by far the forum with the lowest average intelligence of any forum I've ever been on. Seriously. Not to be mean or anything, but some of you are either 11 and 12 or severely mentally handicapped
where the hell did that come from? yeh there seems to be a lot of younger people here, especally in recent times, but that no reason to "bad mouth" the forum population in general.

One of our forum members(AcidReign) did some intense research, Pretty cool if you ask me! lol
**********
My analysis today has been VERY great. I took a deep look into today's splash screen and this is what I found:
I outlined in red the distinct marks that I could find. On the sides of the picture seem to be claws. On the top of the picture seems to be spikes. Now who has claws and spikes? Gee I don't know - compare with this picture and I think you'll see the resemblance:
The red lines match. Coincidence?
Only time will tell.
Thank you for your time.
*******
it seems to alude to something, hope something further comes of it
