Flooding gen chat and creeping on my friend requests and even these forums..submitted tickets, anything being done to combat this, or should we expect this to be one similarity to D2 that people actually don't want =P
I know (or hope) blizz is busy working on the game itself, but too bad there isn't some in game system of reporting to help crack down on this...most people are deterred from reporting b/c one) the ticket system is too cumbersome and not worth the time to them two) don't know how/where to fill one out. i dunno, i'm sure i'm not the only one bothered by this.
Def. not players, names look randomly generated and I got 2 from 2 separate odd looking names at once. Likelihood of this being a person is small I think.
Just got two friend requests in game, almost simultaneously. Names look randomly generated, possibly advertising something (obv didn't click it). Anyone else get these or know what they are? In request comment it has a website, which I won't post just in case people might accidentally go to it. Along the lines of www.tp**eo.com

Does kill bonuses (massacre, mighty blow) scale with higher difficulties? I've noticed to the contrary. And I was thinking maybe they could tweak this reward system, by say maybe having a higher MF/GF for a short duration (similar to NV but much less substantial, like 15 sec of +1% GF per mob killed in a mighty blow) or the mobs you kill in a mighty blow will spit out more gold. Just doesn't seem to be of any use in later difficulties, though it is satisfying for the game to acknowledge you just wasted a bunch of mobs, you really don't get much beyond screen clutter from the bonus prompt. Anyone else have suggestions / critique of my assessment, please share.
But did it say he was kicked, or is it possible he just left on his own accord? Through communicating w/ other party members, there doesn't seem to be any voting prompt. And in a group of 3 where me and the other player both clicked vote kick, nothing happened. The player in question did leave about ten minutes later though...could it be there's just a long delay? And why wouldn't it at least say in chat "vote submitted" or something of that nature.
Never done public games, so haven't experienced (or had the opportunity to experience) your issue, but there's something else in your post that bothers me.
Are people really still in the 'GOGOGO' mindset, carried over from WoW? That's unfortunate. =/ Especially considering in D3 it's best to actually go through those side dungeons, for extra rares/champions and resplendent chests. Rushing to the boss is not only sub-optimal, but really frustrating for those who DO want to play optimally.
I can only hope your particular experience is the minority.
Inferring too much from what I said. It actually isn't that common in my experience, actually much of the time you can find like minded players who like to run content, randoms dungeons, smashing barrels, etc. But when you do run into someone who is in "gogogo" mode, kind of sours the whole party. If I join a party and the majority of them are running faster than my liking, I'll gladly bow out and just find another party. Issue is when things are going well and one person isn't willing to do the same (join another game, that is).
Is this function not working? Had on several occasions a full group w/ one troll who refused to stick w/ the group b/c they want to skip content (random dungeons, etc.) and/or raging and flaming other players ("go faster"). When I vote kick, or one of the other players in my party do it, no vote prompt comes up. Just seems to do nothing. Anyone else experiencing this?
Yeah but he doesn't really drop good loot. Very rarely is it even level 50 stuff. (In hell difficulty)
Agreed. 12 runs and got 3 yellows but they're all crap. Good for farming for AH fodder and gems though. Every other run there's 1-2 chests and often a Blessing of Fortune totem.
I've been playing (when available =P) since launch and have had no actual in game issues. Was playing earlier with no incident, but when I just logged back in recently, the game is silent. Sound is perfectly functional everywhere else on my computer (system sounds, media player, other games are all fine), rechecked my in game & computer settings several times, updated sound drivers (were up to date), set all game settings back to default, and even reinstalled the game. Still no sound.
I saw elsewhere Mac users were having similar issues but I'm running Windows 7 (HE), is anyone else having this problem? I'm still able to play obv. but its frustrating and definitely less enjoyable w/o the excellent music/sound effects.. Really takes the oomf out of my exploding palm..
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah, it says and said for 3 hours it would be up at 6AM PST....6AM roles around and they update it to say 7AM. I wish Blizzard would give more generous projections. Coming on earlier than projected is 10x better than waiting for an hour to find out it'll be another hour.
