My complaint is seeing the stupid prices for somethings and realizing that with a family, job and other responsibilities it will be a long time before I have millions. That and some affixes are messed up in their implementation and make you end up leaving instead of continuing on(hate doing this at a stack of 3-4 NV). Those aren't deal breakers but they just dampen the whole experience of it and I find myself just not enthused for the game as much as I want to be,
But I haven't given up yet, as Blizz does improve in time.
Though seeing that bass up top makes me want to get out to the lake oh so bad lol! Rains have been good lately so lakes are back full.
My favorite thing with NT is getting the missile dampening affix on an elite mob and watching 5-6 NTs hit it all at once.
Wait until you do that on a reflects damage mob without knowing it.
Reflect Damage - Illusionist
This is the most fun a DH can have
But honestly Tentacles can when you have a large group coming at you hit for a helluva lot and also top off your life a bit. On bosses it is the best way to drain yourself of hatred before you go back to your hatred generator.
Well I was being super cheap for this and I bought low level stuff with GF on it, got maybe a bit over 100% with ferrets on and timing myself to 30 minutes I pulled 40k-60k(at work now and it's written at home on my desk) so it would be a lot better I assume with ore GF since I consider that a good pull for 30 minutes.
When Sharpshooter is stacked to 100% the DPS shown is calculated with permanent 100% crit (tested this).
That means that items with +%crit dmg will SEEM incredible, but their real value is way lower.
It is not possible to calculate how much crit sharpshooter actually gives in a real combat environment, so finding out the exact value of % crit dmg is hard.
Wrong, as soon as you get 1 crit all things during the next second will crit aswell. That means that sometimes 4 or more ticks of nether tentacles/hungering arrows will crit along with it, giving crit damage an even higher amount.
The first few shots will do A LOT of dmg, that's true, but after the first crit +% crit dmg becomes less powerful. Its over all value depends largely on how long the fight is and how long dps breaks are.
I am 100% sure the DPS shown are with perm 100% crit. That means the value of +%crit dmg SEEMS higher than it is.
You will do that insane amount of dps with the first salvo, and actually some pre fired tentacles can cause an insane amount of damage, but after that your dps will drop. I'm not saying crit dmg is worthless, it's just not as powerful as people assume when looking at the numbers...
Yeah your DPS will take a bit of a dive but with sharpshooter constantly bumping your crit chance you will get some nice massive spikes. Using a crossbow along with some other items boosting crit damage/chance it works out efficiently enough.
Holy crap! That thing is sick, and as much as I hate the huge price tag on it(which I hope the whole market gets lower eventually) I would pay that in a heartbeat for that item.
God help me for throwing my hat in this ring but some of the stuff i have to comment on.
There are a lot of vaild opinions in here and I won't invalidate them, but my own is that right now I am digging the game. Do I wish the loot would be better as it dropped for me? Yes but there are ways around it and finding a good farm spot is nice when it isn't the same boss over and over. This time the elite is a fast-waller-horde, ok. Next time desecrator-jailer-arcane, come at me bro, this makes me think and learn more dimensions of my character than I had already learned about.
As for the whole "make a game with your trade wants in it" I have found between 'General' and 'Trade Chat' I have made a few good deals on some stuff people post on there, if you can avoid the spambots(my biggest complaint). Just link it up with what you're looking for, or heck use the forums here or b.net to advertise, it can still be done. I would rather not just sit in a empty game hoping someone sees it and stops in.
I played D2 for years and spent so much time on it that yes I have fond memories of it. But this is an entirely new experience and is a nice way to move Diablo as a series forward. The future patches and expansions will only make this better as most of the time Blizz's game have been improved.
But if they could just tweak the loot system a bit it would be nice.
While I was waiting for my work uniform to wash this morning I spent maybe an hour here. He is a simple enough person to kill, sometimes got a whammy of an ability combo but also helps to teach you how to deal with it in a controlled environment.
Filled up my bag twice over with blues and maybe 8-10 rares. Only 1 works for me sadly rest were, meh.
^I have to agree so far in my experiences. With Sharpshooter you have a awesome crit chance booster but getting that 15% always added in instead of happening once in a while has worked a lot better for me.
Granted, some builds have been very successful with massive crit orientations in them. That's the best thing in here is that there is a variety of which style you could go. Personally I dig the raw damage straight out of the gate.
But I haven't given up yet, as Blizz does improve in time.

+1
I lol'd
But with a good team and being able to balance SS-Prep firing tentacles it can be doable.
For real fun find a Reflect Damage - Illusionist - Extra Health, those are a real hoot!
