So my GR and overall char progress lately has been grinding to a halt because of lack of gold. I can farm about 10M/hour…but that’s nothing when my Furnace or SK rolls are 5mil each (Yeah, I’m that lucky). Plus rolling rings/amulets for sockets has been taking a toll on my gold stash. While I’m struggling with gold I see people boosting around with billions lately, some other just in the hundreds of millions, but still…
The secret to this seems to be this elusive gem: Boon of the Loot Hoarder. I looked around, searched info, started to farm the 4 maps posts here and there would say have the biggest chances at having a goblin.
I spent hours chasing those bastards. I don’t know how many I killed, but I went from having 3M gold to 39M gold. I got no portal all this time. If I would have made T6 runs (I can clear a T6 rift in under 6 minutes solo) I could have made close to 60-70M.
One of my friends got his gem in the first days of 2.1. He didn’t even understood what the gem does until I told him yesterday. He went into a T6 rift, cleared it in about 10 minutes and came out with 17 mil gold. He made about 60M gold in half an hour. I can make at most 10M/hour. I wasted 4 or 5 hours chasing goblins all over the lore and got about 35 mil out of it….
Today I have 300 forgotten souls, I have 5000+ blue and gold mats and I have 5 mil coins…I can’t roll my weapon, I can’t roll my gear, I can’t make gems to just play a different class to change the flavor. I understand RNG and this is not the first game I’m playing. But this gold limiting is just retarded and makes me sad and discouraged beyond belief and I’m actually contemplating quitting this game entirely.
In the end I rolled the 10% crit into 92% Crit damage increase and I wear the Eye of Lich now. I compared the two but the Eye beats Countess in 99% of the cases.
You Have MM build, anything you do outside of actually spamming MM is waste of time and DPS.
On thatthought:
Change evocation and illusionist, replace with blur and elemental exposure.
Take off archon , is useless in your setup, replace it with Familiar/Sparkflint.
Replace WoF with Blizzard/Frozen Solid. You can spam this skill for chill effect/slow and add Ice to Elemental Exposure
Replace teleport with blackhole - adds CC, DPS boost and also groups up mobs so MM does a lot more damage.
Replace Storm armor with energy armor + Prismatic armor.
Replace your 78 AR gem with 280 intelligence.
We both know that amulet is atrocious. Get something better asap.
Try to get another Tal-Rasha piece, whatever that would be. Amulet would be amazing , belt works too, chest armor not so much since you don't want to throw that Cidercoat away just yet. Time will come for that too.
Change the Blackthorne pants and boots with Cain's if you have the plan and can craft them.
Anyway, with the chances that I suggested you're going to be able to run without any issues through T5. T6 you'll have to be careful.
Suggestions are based on my build, and you're not far from it at all. I can clean a T4 Rift in less than 10 minutes (Before Energy armor buffs runs out), T5 in about 13-15 minutes depending on level and T6 in anything between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on level. That's with NO UNITY so I have to move around a lot in T6 and that's DPS lost.

this Tal-Rasha bonus discussion is sort of a "sour grapes" thing.
I can tell you this much after spending a lot of money and time trying out different builds: Tal Rasha damage, even without +meteor damage, does a lot more than people think. Having all elements proc + unwavering it's getting a pretty serious damage boost for everyone in squad.
Current one seems to be the best combo all around.
Full Fire: 120% fire damage - MM based = meh..
WoW (check the other wiz on my acc) EB build = just as lame as Full MM based fire. Archon tested here too...meh results.
Current: best dps/survival out of all 3. There are really only a few situations where archon's AoE hits would be better, but MM at 2.10 APS is very, very hard to beat.

I asked myself the same question, I guess the reason is to kill quicker things that are getting close and try to get closer to the things you're killing.
15% extra damage is some serious shit.
I however also use UW ... after playing with both I can say I like UW advantage better.
is conflagration passive important for this build?
and why not take unwavering will over audacity? you don't want mobs to get close anyway so most of the time you're be out of the 15 yards limit.
This is my current build, after many experiments and changes I can currently run T4 rifts quite easily, T5 I don't like to do because they take too much (over 20 minutes), when I farm for legendary mats I always do it on T6. I spent over 5k to get a Cindercoat...I still don't have one.
Off hands I got 4 greens (from some stupid set with a wand) , 2 mirrorball, 4 triumvirates from Kadala all in under 1.5kbloodshards. All this in a week's span. RNGesus man....just try until you get it.

I got a portal in the end. but it was the troll one to the unicorn / teddy bear land. I was 5 seconds away from delete/uninstall.

so I had a decent Eye of the Lich drop and I've been playing around with it.
Currently I have one of the stats rolled for 10% crit, but I was wondering if for my build type is not better to have CDI instead of CR?
