NES: Contra 1, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1, Friday the 13th (ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL), and one of the hardest games ever is Battletoads (TRY and beat this game).
Not a fan of the hair at all. I like the shoulder armor (the heavy armor version is pretty badass). Who cares if she really couldn't lift her arms over her head? Still waiting for a class model that appeals to me... haven't found one yet (female Wizard is close).
This is so awesome. They better make those mints a commercial item! So what time do u think we are gonna learn about the new class? I assume ppl will know once it starts - isn't that around 10 am? So for us ppl on the East Coast that's... 1 PM?! Ahhh can't wait! This event is in Anaheim too right? Well everyone should get their butts there break in and get us some footage bc we all know you aren't going to be watching any baseball today/tonight 0_o
Haha just kidding I wished I lived over there right now bc I'd have my mints too! Hope you guys have fun!
Just thought I'd throw in a little help guide to all you Warcraft fans. I actually got this working a couple of months ago.
What you need is a DOS emulator called DOSBox which you can download here: http://www.dosbox.com/
Once you got that installed you need to create a directory that will serve as your "virtual DOS drive" (Example C:\DOS).
You obviously need the game files now (from the CD).
Now unzip your Warcraft 1 files into the DOS directory so the path name looks like this:
C:\DOS\warcraft (or whatever you want it to be).
K now you need to load up DOSBox and there's just a few commands to get it started (ah memories).
1. First mount your directory to become the C drive - "mount c: C:\DOS" in my example
2. Change to the mounted drive - "c:" (you will now be in C:\DOS)
3. Change to your warcraft directory - "cd warcraft"
4. Now I think you do have to run setup before playing the game - make sure your soundcard works (I think picking SoundBlaster 16 is what I used).
NOTE: I don't think that the cd music will work... I could be wrong because I'm writing this all from memory.
5. After setup type "war.exe" and the game should start right up!
6. When you are done playing and you "Quit to DOS" just type "exit" to close the console.
Couple of Notes:
I've used this emulator to play Warcraft 2 as well. I'm sure DOOM and Heretic/Hexen will work using this method.
One thing about Warcraft 1 - THERE IS NO (RIGHT) CLICK TO MOVE!!! (you have to click the move icon first or press the M key then select a location) - Don't freak out it just takes some getting used to - the game is still awesome tho!
That should be everything hope you enjoy the game!
I could kill something with a lamp shade too - especially if I put spikes on it! The knife/sword for the handle of the whip is kind of interesting - having weapons like that would definitely add in some variety. I'm all for new weapons - I'd try out a whip but dunno how long I'd use it for tho.
And a Necro will kill an angel if he has to even if hes 'good'.
I guess you're right about that. But the "things" that come from Hell seem to do pretty EVIL things. I guess that's just me but killing things seems bad - of course this is just opinion and my perspective on things Whose to say keeping things ordered (aka Heaven) is good?
The whip would need to be a support weapon. I like the idea of knockback. You aren't going to kill anything with a whip (as someone already said). Unless you whip it in it's eye and it can't see anymore and falls down... And what happens when they get up close with you? Wrap them up in it?
It's an interesting idea... I personally would fight for the light (which is I thought the whole point of Diablo - fighting against Prime and Lesser Evils to save Sanctuary). If they kept it simple it would be fine (appearance or something like that +50% dmg to demons). I wouldn't want it to become like WoWs Death Knights and have something just for the sake of being evil - wtf I've been fighting against the scourge and Arthas (I hate him so much) all this time and now I just switch sides? Makes no sense to me - maybe I haven't read up on it enough - but I don't think there are two sides to this hero class stuff (a good and an evil).
Back on Topic: I can't wait to protect a caravan from a continuous horde of monsters (or something of the like). And if it gets too hairy I'll fight to the death! ... or I'll take off haha - I guess what I'm saying is I'll make my own moral code
Well since I live in MA I won't be going hah. There better be some new damn info on D3... they should AT LEAST give us one new class (because I KNOW they are going to listen to me haha). I'm gonna be pissed if it's all WC and SC. Have fun guys take lots and lots of pictures!
Didn't read all of this thread... well I read the first couple of pages of people attacking each other... but Wilson did say that they are going to have Acts in the game right? When he was talking about the rainbows...
Is that a confirmation on how the game is gonna be played (instead of open world)? Sorry if this has been discussed/posted before - I missed it if it was. I figured they were gonna do this anyway... I mean it IS Diablo
I'd love to see something like the Battle Mages in WoW (In Strat instance). Fighter class w/ a swordand shield /2H sword with the ability to throw fireballs/cast a frost nova etc. Crack one enemy with a sword and blast another - it'd be a fast and furious fighter having most of the magics be instant cast - have like 1 or two timed casts that are a lot stronger (blizzard). Might end up being too overpowered but it'd kick ass. Could have a fire tree, frost/ice tree, and a melee ability tree (or just one elemental and a defensive/support tree). An example would be charging up your weapon with fire to unleash an attack etc. Lightening could go to another class as someone already suggested in here. Just seems like a more interesting hybrid that they could do.
But I think we are going to see the generic 5 classes show up to be honest... here comes the Pally! If they do this I want the Necro back but that won't happen
I'd like to go back and visit the Rogue's Monastery and see if they were able to restore their order after the poor ladies got messed up by Andy. It'd be cool to have them run one of the "bases of operation" for the acts. It'd be nice to meet up with the NPCs from Act 1 again. Of course Akara seemed pretty old in D2 and 20 years have passed so she might be sitting down or something.
Haha just kidding I wished I lived over there right now bc I'd have my mints too! Hope you guys have fun!

2. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen (yay for Shaun of the dead!)
3. Kate Beckinsale
Edit: Looked and someone already picked Kate. I'll go with J Love Hewitt.
