Hello, newbie question here: How is physical resist different than armor, don't they both reduce the damage you take from physical attacks? Also as a barb soon to finish off Nightmare, which one should I go for?
Hello.
I'm looking for a good website to lookup up skills, crafted items and such. The official d3 site is really outdated already and it's hard and sort out the info I want. Say what can e blacksmith make for my lvl45 char? No easy way to find that. I'd love a site for d3 like wowhead and wowiki was for wow, plenty of info and easy to find what I'm looking for. Any tips?
This is my solo-play wizard build and I was hoping for some feedback and suggestions
Electrocute: Main attack / trash mobs / AP regain
Ray of Frost: Boss / elite killer
Wave of Force: When it hits the fan....
Energy Twister: Trash packs / bosses (very uncertain about this one but 468% sounds so nice)
Magic weapon: Self-buff for more dmg (should perhaps be replaced with some cc or survival)
Slow time: Control, and dmg boost - to be combined with WoF, Electrocute or ET
Prodigy for more AP gain with Electrocute
Glass Cannon for dmg boost
Arcane dynamo for dmg buff while building AP
This build might be too low on defence or cc, I imagine something needs to be swapped as I enter Nightmare. Teleport or Energy Armor are perhaps better choices?
I would love to join a clan to have someone to play with online but I've never been in one before so I don't know what's expected of me. I play starcraft 2 but I really suck at it (no, I'm not being modest) so I stick with monobattles and some 4v4. I'm currently in the D3 beta and have pre-ordered the collectors edition
Don't know if I'm the kind of player you are looking for?
Best of luck on your recovery and I hope you all get an invite as well before the beta ends :-) Imo the game is really, really good and more random in the enviroment than diablo 2 was. I'm glad I have pre-ordered the collectors edition.
Tried a wizard first and in the beta they are really OP with arcane orb at level 3 and disintergrate at 7(?). Everything except bosses never got even close tol my char before it died. Barbarian was next, not as OP in damage output as the wizard but could take a beating so no problem there.
Currently I'm halfway with a demon hunter and the damage seem really low and they die easily. I died once and had quite a few I-can't-belive-I-survived-that moments. Though her running around in thigh-high, high-heeled boots is a nice touch :-)
Looking forward to try monk and witch doctor tomorrow :-)
Thanks everyone, to answer your question; no I haven't got any e-mail yet from Blizzard. I'd suggest you check your battle.net account on a regular basis. I checked mine almost every day since the beta began.
You will see the same think from the Hardcore people who will say that anyone who doesn't play hardcore is some kind of carebear or something. It's because they have an inferiority complex and try to build themselves up by putting other people down. There's no right or wrong way to play one of these games, if you like PvP, play that, if you like Softcore, play that. Heck, if what you enjoy is playing each class through normal difficulty and then quitting, that's fine too. It's a game people!
Thank you
