Yeah that's a fair point - they are certainly looking at fixing that soon (the next patch even) so hopefully that will help. I suppose that is where the 'viability' comes in to it - people may want to use a build that is fun and cheap while levelling so I still see value in having those builds on the site.

oooo yeah creativity and viablilty are really good - will use those for sure. I definitely think there needs to be a character limit to keep things tidy and succinct too.

I have been toying with the idea of building a website where users can post builds which are then rated by other users based on things such as cost, effectiveness, fun etc and thought I would post in here to see if anyone has any ideas or suggestions. Also just to check if anyone else has done / is already doing the same thing.
I would be interested in hearing ideas about what people think builds should be rated on, whether or not you think gear should be included or just stat goals etc - ideally I think it should be easy for people to post their builds without needing a bunch of screenshots and a novel length write-up. It would be great to know if you found anything to be helpful or useless in a build post.
Anyway any input would be greatly appreciated.

I pretty much like all of these changes. I am ambivalent about the cauldron and cube really, never got the chance to experience them anyway so it will be just the same as d2. White items are going to be more or less not worth picking up, so that makes for fewer trips to town.
I was just hoping to hear that they had removed the nephalem alter - that thing is a poo pusher.

Great stuff on both the anniversary page and the skill video!
If you are disappointed with the anniversary page it seems likely that you were expecting too much. The blue post makes an excellent point about the ups and downs of following diablo so closely. Though that's hardly gonna stop me from feverishly checking diablofans every single day until it's released..

Yeah! What's with this whole 'giving us new screenshots and information' thing! The bloody nerve. How DARE they! Patronising is what it is and I refuse to look at them.
I would rather they destroyed old screenshots than give us new ones.

These videos are awesome. I was starting to worry I was going off the witch doctor there for a while but I now remember that he's a ghost-faced killah. Full-stop. Period.
