Given the nature of the Blizzard fan community, it is a bit surprising to me that Zahrym is so baffled by the over speculation of his tweets. It seems this whole situation actually means nothing and only enraged fans. Not to say that Blizzard owes us anything - but it is a bit alarming that they aren't aware that something like this could happen given the passion of the fan base as well as the four year wait.
Also - while Blizzard does not owe the community anything and doesn't have to communicate with the fans in any way as Molster and Azjenco state above - I would definately say that they absolutely do not communicate effectively. Blizzard CHOOSES to communicate with it's fans - which is a great - but it seems like every time they do communicate they only upset people.
This is not effective communication. It may be 100% the fans fault for over reacting - but at what point is it not the fans fault and the fault of poor communication from Blizzard? Especially since the misunderstanding between the company and the fans has led many fans to lose respect for the company altogether.
For those of us that are frustrated and feel disrespected by Blizzard I would recommend emailing a complaint. Not sure if it would have any impact but if minor action was taken aside from arguing on forums perhaps Blizzard would take notice.
I emailed mine earlier today.
Again, not sure if this would help - but I figure it's worth a shot. It would just be nice to be kept in the loop a little more than we are now. Blizzard has been pretty deceiving with their statements lately and that's not really necessary.
It would be great for a player like me who isn't much of a stat nerd but is still curious on how everything is going to effect my character to leave more detailed tooltips!
Maybe add tooltip options that defaulted with more simple information but give the player the option to choose more in depth tooltips?
The image one to the left of Gluttony (bottom row third from right) looks like one of the original concepts for Azmodan showed in the Making of the Black Soulstone cinematic panel at this years BlizzCon. Any thoughts on this?
I actually don't like this very much... it makes the sword look too cartoony imo. It love the art style of D3 but this actually makes the weapons feel kind of lame and not very diablo.
I just hope there isn't alot of cheating in the RMAH. (For example buying out all of one item and then only selling a few at a time to create scarcity to bump up the prices.)
Not really educated on how the WoW AH works or anything so I'm not sure if this would make you any money or not, but it seems like it could be worth a try to make a few bucks.
It will be interesting however to see if third party sites compete in any way. If competitive bidding makes a great item pricey in the Official RMAH, why not get it cheaper (if available) on a third party site? (with the risk of being scammed of course)

You're biggest worry is actually mine too.
I hope as the game progresses there is much more outside environment randomization!

Bashiok did address "Shilling" in a blue post which is similar to what I'm talking about.
