I used to think my Sin was a total badass because I could do the Marsh of Pain, and Sarina's Bookstore the first time I encountered them, on /players8.
Stormy quite abruptly disabused me of that delusion of grandeur just as soon as she one-hit me with her freakin' Barb during a duel.
You may need to contact Goeido or Blinn from the Phrozen Keep forum on showing her that the sins are the top melee characters . I think it is about even for the Assassin, Druid and the Barb for Melee.
Most of my characters can do them right away as well. Then again I have done Blood Raven Workshop with a level 15 character once. It was players 1 at the time but still what a challenge.
Most of my Characters are usually around level 50 or higher before taking on any monsters in Act 2.

Just a heads up you may not want to enter the Book Store to get the stat points since that area is now considered a high level area and wait until you are in Act 5. The same with going in the Marsh of Pain.
I sometimes have to take a look at the maps at the ES Database to make sure I go to the right location to get the parts for the flail.

I will add tinkering to the item enhancement guide. I will also be working on the skills as well. Just finding the time for all this is going to be a trick. If it is needed it may be on its own page
Tinkering was toned down from where it was used before. Most experienced ES players will not devote to much attention to it since the bonuses are quite low and there are caps on how many times you can use them (called Tinkering Points). You can usually add about 30 points of tinkering but sometimes you will only get a few points. The number of tinkering points you get on an item is determined at the time of the item is being created. When an item is tinkered there is a check being made to see if there is any points left and if there are enough points left to use that tinker. Some tinkers are worth more points than others. I will have all that information on the guide when it is done.
There is a bug in regards to the D2 engine that the check is not made for the tinker or at least not correctly on the cap of approx 30 tinker points and you can tinker on gemwords/runewords until you reach the cap for that stat on an item. But if you used all the tinker points on the item before it became a runeword/gemword then you can not tinker on the item anymore.
Tinkering now is for the most part used now on the end gear to help round out the character.
The most common ones are the life tinker and cold damage tinker. The cold damage tinker is used more for the add duration of the chill/freeze than the damage. Since in Hell the duration is heavily cut.
In the past when you could farm Griswald, Radamant, Treehead, Hephasto (likely got the spelling on the names incorrect) you would get an organ from them. The ones most farmed are Griswald and Hephasto since you would be able to tinker either min or max damage on any item up to the cap on the item or you have no tinker points left.
I think I covered everything there. I hope it is clear enough if not just ask. If there was something I missed just ask and I will answer.

Just let everyone know that I will be looking to add content to the ES Wiki
I will be assisting skynet. I will be making a guide on enhancing your equipment when I get the time and get used to the wiki format here it will be up as well as other things when they are ready. Any suggestions to that guide or any thing else that you want to see added to the wiki let me know.
The first guide I make may be the installing ES and common troubleshooting guide since I saw a few posts commenting on how difficult it is to install.
I did not read all the past posts if anyone has an unanswered question or has a question please ask here or you can message me. I am more than happy to help. If you have questions about other mods please ask me I may know the answer since I have played many mods.

In Eastern Sun you do not get as much bonus putting points into Vitality since you get more life on level up. In Eastern Sun it is easy to get life high enough on your gear.
Strength and Dexterity are good places for players that are melee or are using thrown/(x)bow characters.
Energy is suggested for most caster and summoner builds since that stat will boost summons damage. The sorc for the most part will not gain as much in investing in energy since she has elemental mastery skills
I usually like to pump all points just into one. Some Melee builds I may pump Dexterity if I need the extra AR.

But you can get it much higher than that. Some players went over 3k on the character alone and if the Hireling does the kill it is likely over 5k if they are setup for gold find. In Hell the Hireling may get their gold find equipment traded in for killing gear.

Starting gear for all characters is the following: Leather of Luck Gloves (Unique):It gives anywhere from 50-150% to both Gold Find and Magic Find Autolycus' Thieving Tools (Set Belt):It gives 100% gold find and 25% magic find to start and with a second piece in the set it adds another 100% gold and 25% magic Boots of Sneaking (Set Boots): It only adds 50% magic find to start and another 50% with 2 items
Depending on my luck at getting coupons and ancient scrolls to fund my early gambling I may go for the complete set
The Necromancer I would go for the following: Wirt's Skull (Preserved Head):Adds 100-200% Gold Find.
Having the gold find and magic find early makes it a lot easier to get the other gear you need later on.
[edit]
Most of my characters are now deleted since I mostly played Eastern Sun Tourneys. I think the highest I ever had was over 2,000% gold find and I do not recall Magic Find since most items that has gold find has magic find on it. But you can get very high and if you set the hireling up for gold find gear and if he/she does all the killing their GF will be added to yours.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get Tri-max on a weapon?
Like..
+% enhanced maximum damage (based on character level)
+ maximum damage (based on character level)
+ maximum damage
Or something along those lines?
The top 2 mods you listed are highly sought after on Rares or Crafts. Crafts is only listed there when my 2 Craftsman tourneys were going on. Those two are sought after since they can not be d-stoned or gem melded onto an item. They are called Dual Max if both are at the max levels. The last mod is also available but most players would look for the first 2 since the last one can be gem melded in if you have the maples and scroll #50 to spare but it is always better to d-stone enhanced damage and other mods first.

I play only Single Player. My internet connection is not the best and sometimes goes offline.
Plus I have modified Eastern Sun files to make it easier for me to test the upper limits of Supermaxing d-stoning/gem melds on runeword items. I have permission from the Moderator of the ES Forum at the Wiki. Perfect Cell the mod maker is now back as the mod maker but it is likely going to be some time before a new version will be released.
The Players 8 setting right now is the old players 16 setting. To get any players setting above 8 would require code editing or using a plugin that does the code edit for you. As of right now if it was set to players 16 many monsters would have life roll overs and it would make the mod to easy.

That GF is quite low. I usually have GF that is close to that before leaving Blood Moor/DoE.
Gold Find is very important in Eastern Sun. Since many of the things that can be used to make your gear better can be bought/gambled/chitted.

Eastern Sun is definitely worth a try. I have been playing it since 2006. It is one of my favorite mods for D2 :).
