@Crateme Spirit Walk is actually 2 seconds and you can play smart to get less dmg from reflects. I didn't always had this much defenses yet I could survive reflects. The point is that these clips are MP10, and it shows reflect packs are ok. Most people are whining about MP7-8 reflects.
@Oxidys I don't know what char you play, but I don't think that you can come even close to my damage output. Also that is another point of this clip, "surviving reflect with high dps" lol maybe I should have made this the title. So from your point of view we shouldn't get any defensive items and play as mages&demon hunters pre 1.02 patch.
@Stromchin I got 2 immunities, one from passive and the other is spirit walk. So I use them in turns when my HP is low and heal fast with millions of crits. Also I gather other mobs around and get HP from them it makes things even easier. Btw My brother had a monk (he sold his equipment now was in top 100 DPS) he had a good skorn and his HP wasn't even moving vs reflect mobs in MP10.
I thought the dmg dealt, not mp level, dictated how much was reflected. I could be wrong about that but I think I saw a post about that last week sometime

Thank you so very much for the helpful input. While yea my vitality level is super low, it worked out well for my kiting build that I was running previously. That, along with all res will be my next steps to up a bit more (Found a Storm Crow with 10 APoC and nice Vit for relatively cheap, so I'm up to 19 APoC now)
My next question lies in my passives, not so much CM or Cold Blooded, but my 3rd is Galvanizing Ward (for the extra life regen). Should I stick with that until I get my vitality up a bit more or is there a better option for the stage I am currently at? [If there was any doubt, place me at the "Complete Noob" stage of CMWW]
A few days ago I posted a cm kite spec thread and found out I was doing things all wrong. After some frat advice I changed my kite spec and found it to be efficient. Now though I have decided to give cmww a shot for ubers and key farming. The spec is pretty cookie cutter outside of having a signature spell and a different passive than most ppl. My question is more gear related.
Is there anything tremendously wrong with my gear for low mp key farming outside of not having enough APoC, or can anyone make a recommendation for a gear upgrade that won't cost an arm & a leg.
Hence the "kiting" I generally kill before being killed. Typically on an a3 mp1 run I die maybe 2-3 times total, and its typically to fast, waller, frozen, immune or a combo of.
And my lowest resist is 359...so its not like I have nothing helping me out.
I apologize if I offended either of you, I figured I would go to the great wiz community here to help me out with what I was doing wrong, I thought CM was a requirement for having teleport in my build (which I do want to have, I'm a big ole coward when I got mobs coming at me).
Had I done research on my own skills I would have swapped to Illusionist and not even called myself a "CM build".

I think thats more along the lines of what I was looking for, didnt even read into Illusionist Passive at all...which is what I was using CM for anyway (a lower TP cd)

Like I said, new to the wiz (mostly) decided on it about a week ago if that. I like her because I am able to do pretty decent damage with the stuff I have but really had no idea on builds per say outside of Archon which I'm not a fan of atm.

The correct answer is anything above mp0 is a trick to get you less stuff, the only times MP should be used is when you are 100 paragon and the use of MP does not effect the speed at which you kill things, which is to say, instantaneous. If 1 cast does not kill everything then your DPS is not high enough for the current MP you are using and you should lower your MP until 1 cast does kill everything.
That means white mobs right? No way elites drop in one shot anytime soon for me or anyone I normally game with
After months of swapping back and forth, I've finally decided on my wizard as my main paragon leveling character. Only issue is, I'm not much of a fan of Archon just yet (Though I can see myself moving into it in the future).
I tend to farm MP1 for XP and gear, and as stated, I generally use a kiting CM build. My question is this; which of the two abilities is better to use in most cases, Energy Twister (Wicked Wind rune, to keep em in place), or Arcane Orb (Celestial Orb rune).
Since its a new acct and I can't my profile yet, heres some base stats of mine.
Dmg: 48986
Crit Chance: 43.5%
Crit Dmg: 211%
LoH: 559
Movement Speed: 24%
My other abilities I use,
Teleport (Wormhole) Frost Nova (Bone Chill) Magic Weapon(Blood Magic) Storm Armor(SA)
Passives: Cold Blooded, CM, Galvanizing Ward
