So I just installed the new Nvidia drivers today after starting up the d3 beta and having it tell me there was a new driver out instead of my nvidia control panel, well played d3 well played, and I feel like the game is visually sharper now. Is this just wishful thinking or has anyone else out there got this feeling?
I'm not certain because neither one is a stat I really paid much attention to, but I believe gold pickup and health globe pick up range increase stats are one in the same.
I'll be playing the different classes as the proper gender in which they were introduced to us.
Barb: Male
WD: Male
Monk: Male
DH: Female
Wiz: Female
The only deviation of this may be with the monk simply because I like the female monk's voice with that accent. The male one is good too though so I'm probably just going to end up sticking with Male.
Yea only reason I knew that is because I was just playing my monk; sorry for splitting hairs. I do however agree with you anyone who plays a monk with a two handed weapon is insane. Dashing Strike set to 1, Deadly reach set to left click, and Lashing Tail Kick set to right click makes you A GOD ON SPEED.
Now to address this post in a absurdly long winded manner that may not makes sense to no one aside from myself and may not even be answering this OP's actual question!
Well? Since we only attack with spells now, how does the game deal with dual weapons that have different damage? Does it average them? Or use the damage from the weapon that is attacking at that point?
The game doesn't really look at it like which hand you are attacking with while using a spell. It draws from a central stat pool to determine the damage of the skill, not what weapon in which hand you happen to be attacking with.
As for how the game dictates how much damage your abilities are doing based on if you are dual-wielding or not, well the easiest way to explain it is that the weapon's, or weapon's and offhand's, stats go into your character's stat pool. The damage of the spell isn't derived directly from the weapon but from the culmination of all the stats that are within your character's pool.
Now obviously when dual-wielding weapons this is a bit different because if you're dual-wielding the dps from both weapons doesn't get added together (20 dps mainhand + 20 dps offhand = fuck two-handers!) or else who in their right mind would ever use a two-handed weapon? The only thing I can figure is the main hand's damage get tossed into the aforementioned stat pool and then, just a guess here, maybe 50% of the damage of the weapon in your offhand. Now add this together with other modifiers such as your character's strength (if a barb) or Dexterity (If monk or DH), weapon speed, and then multiply it by the skill modifier (This attack does 140% weapon damage) then you have the damage you deal while using said skill.
you have a passive that increases your spirit regen by 20% if you dual wield
Well for accuracy's sake you actually gain the 20% increase is spirit generated while using a 2-hander. The benefit of dual-wielding from said passive is 10% chance to dodge. That is assuming you are indeed talking about The Guardian's Path.
dont call me a throll, im just stating what game sites and mags are already saying!!!!
That's nice, evidence?
hahahaha, thats what i love about the internet, people demand you show them EVIDENCE! well no i will not, go look for youself, go to IGN and look for yourself, dont reply to any of my comments again thankyou
hahahaha, thats what I love about the internet, people make claims about something then attempt to convince others it is true, but then when asked for evidence they shout, "LOOK IT UP YOURSELF YOU LAZY FUCK! I may be trying to convince you guys what I'm saying is factual BUT I AM NOT GOING TO PROVIDE ANY SOURCES!" Don't make any threads on diablofans again thankyou
Great Axe and all but The Ancient Bonesaber of Zumakalis is where it is really at. With its power we will finally be able to strike down the Universal Remonster!
Oh look I got in, too bad its like 4 months later and I just don't care as much as I used to
I'll take it.
If I had a key instead of my account being flagged then absolutely, but since that is not the case ehhhh I don't think I'll be handing out my battlenet account.
Also someone on previous page wanted to know how many of the invited had done the annual pass aswell as another wanting to know what country so:

Last chance to look away!

Dual-wielding definitely increases attack speed simply because one-handed weapons are faster.

That being said, does anyone know if the WD can still use abilities like locus swarm on his dogs to imbue them with a special ability?
"Wow thats alot of posters he must ha... wtf is that a random rifle in the corner?"
