1) Why did Maltheal abstain in the vote to decide Sanctuary's fate?
- Surely being Wisdom, the best course of action if he did not have enough information to make a decision would be to convince the Angels to wait on passing judgement until they knew more about the Nephalem, then Vote...
2) Even if Maltheal thinks that Nephalem are an abomination and he is acting in 'the greater good' .. acting against the Angris Council vote, genocide and harnessing death magic are bad/evil qualities when an Angel should only be able to act good?
3) As Maltheal was Wisdom what is his take on the Necromancers view of 'balance'?
So we've all bitched and bitched about the story, plot and characters. So let's be a little more constructive and see what we can do, eh?
What, specifically, would you change about the story, and how? What is your solution to those pressing storyline problems? Would you rewrite one character or scene? Or scrap everything and work from the ground up?
I would bring back Deckard Cain after we defeat Maltheal.
Cain would be reborn out of the Crystal Arch as the new Angel of Wisdom.
They are releasing much info now blizzcon is getting near. I feel something big will come at blizzcon(feelings say beta anouncement) . Really love this stuff though!
OK so all i need to do is log about 3,000 hours into D3 and I should be able to change my gear to not have to depend on main stat rolls and opt for utility...
Almost all skills got an insane damage boost. They didn't just "double it", but more like "quadruple it".
Let's wait what all this is about. I could imagine they just wanna magnify the effects of some skills to see if any of them become too powerful at some point. Or they do this to make skills less gear-dependent. We don't know what else has been changed (internally, engine-wise, such stuff can't be datamined). I doubt this will go live though...
Yes, but even if they toned it down to say 3000%... I could see me using this as a nuke every 60 seconds and then cancelling Archon so I can use normal skills.
I think the reduce cooldown of skills in Paragon 2.0, could be a lot cooler than just picking a straight up DPS stats like +attack speed %.
I can see me doing things like Black Hole (on current location to draw in enemies)-> Frost Nova -> Archon Destruction-> Cancel Archon -> Wave of Force
Archon Cost: 25 Arcane Power / Cooldown: 120 seconds / Transform into a being of pure arcane energy for 1520 seconds. While in Archon form, your normal abilities are replaced by powerful Archon abilities and your Armor and resistances are increased by 4050%. / Each enemy killed while in Archon form increases your damage by 312% for the remaining duration of Archon.e as Arcane to all enemies within 15 yards
Arcane Destruction : An explosion erupts around you when you transform, dealing 16006601% weapon damage
Ok so I saw the recent changes/testing of the skill above.. 6601% weapon damage.. Jesus...
I can only imagine how badly i would get this plus put all my nepahlem points into reduce cooldown on skills! If i could use this once every minute it would be awesome!
Or if they introduce PvP.. BOOM!
Obviously it is subject to change... but this got me excited about the future of archon
I remember when i used to pickup every blue and salvage them so I would have thousands of crafting mats in my inventory and other charcters.. thinking to myself 'one day these will all be worth something'... boy was I wrong...
I personally do not like the Magic Find Affix in general as it used to force me to handicap myself (dps/ehp/utility) as I did not want to 'miss out' on better drops. That didn't feel like a choice..or at least one that I wanted to make.
I liked Blizzards solution to the magic find affix which was to slowly remove its importance from the game (and not outright remove it as an affix on all items at the time). The whole idea was that at lvl p100 it would be irrelevant and at some point e it could be removed as an affix from future items (ilvl 64+) and no one would really complain.
I do not want to see a return of Magic Find as I think it creates all sorts of problems... multi-player games where 2/4 players gimp themselves with Magic Experience +% items and increase max magic level from top to bottom.. they would provide no help to the team and just get carried by others... and the worst part is that they are rewarded with better loot for doing so...
The other thing this system does is rewards bots for longer play sessions..
I always like your suggestion threads Edriel but this idea rests on the assumption that magic find is a good affix to have in the game and I disagree with that premise.
I also like the torchlight idea as well. That would be acceptable. If you were extremely wealthy and it was % base you'd probably never choose to resurrect though.
Maybe a choice like this could also work:
- Resurrect in town for a nominal flat fee
- Resurrect right where you died for 10% of your gold
- Resurrect right where you died for one NV stack
10% of your gold... that would be one expensive death!
the problem with borrowing touch lights idea is that if you gave people the option to resurrect in town people would just choose that option and then click on a banner to port back to the action... so your down time would have been less than 5 seconds.
'Blue Tracker' and 'Recent Forum Posts' should have more than 4 lines. Should be like 6-7 similar to the current home page. Otherwise things drop off too fast.
I do like the blue tracker having MVP posts on it now by default and who wrote the last Blue/MVP post.
Not sure if the background of the site could be a bit better.. even if it was just the RoS Maltheal Background or something.. Or even just the Dfans logo tiled in the background. Just a bit more Diabloish but still classy
Along with "streams" you could have another section called "channels" were you have different players youtube channels you could view from Dfans. Users could add their own channels to the site but need approval from mods?
For instance a "Moldran" channel... or a "Force Feed" channel etc
Also the Beta pages "feedback" link would not let me send feedback.. gives a "unknown error" type response and says it could not send

I am hoping for a PvP announcement
I want to know more about Jamella's return in RoS.
All I know about that chick is that she enabled a whole bunch of heroes to go around with hacked items
hmmm .. maybe I should add force armour or something then...
Hoping that I can 1 shot elites with this skill add a SoJ + Diamond in the Weapon etc..
Diamond in the helm also to reduce cooldown
Paragon 2.0 lvl 1400 here I come.
