I spent 2 weeks entering any contest i could find to get into the beta, i even altered my sleeping patterns to enter some of the overseas ones which gave me around 4 hours sleep over that time period. Not that beta access wasnt enough of a reward for my efforts, but I feel ive earnt a FoS for that...
yeah but at least you get a good 7 hours of gaming in before you start to eat into your sleep time
That is a plus. Ive been super hyped and counting down the days until i can play so when i got the news we cant play till 5pm all thats been running through my head has been "im being delayed by 17 hours from when i was meant to be allowed to start playing" haha
So i clicked the monument and these ghostly dudes ran in from the left, then had to fend off a few waves of enemies. You can read the dialogue in the pics.
Pretty sweet reenacting a Nephalem battle from the past.
Whether the game comes out later with complete PvP or they wait and patch it in we aren't going to be able to PvP till its done. The only thing to take from this is the rest of the game is coming out sooner.
Why not spend the time waiting for PvP preparing yourself for it? Hitting lvl 60 and wanting to PvP before the patch is released seems to be a prominent complaint, but if you are serious about PvP'ing then you wont be 100% ready for it by just reaching lvl 60. You'll need to find really good gear to compliment your build if you want to compete, which first means you'll need to grind it out with a MF build to find it or a GF build to buy it (im not including the option of buying with real cash because thats lame). Even then wouldnt you want more that one PvP character? I dont know about you guys but if you want to really compete in PvP i can see plenty of things that are required that this extra time window will allow you to do.
And is it really that big a deal that Blizzard is going to relelase a game with a system coming in a later patch? It's not the end of the world and im sure as hell its still safe for you to wear your Blizzard t-shirt out in public without the fear of people looking at you and whispering "hey is that guy wearing a shirt of the company that released D3 before PvP was complete on it, lets laugh at him".
In D2 there was nothing more fun to me than playing my PvE Ice Sorc so i've tried to replicate her here in D3, its not a "by the numbers build" but im going to have a lot of fun with it.
Variety of cold spells, some AOE and some targeted. Plenty of arcane regen for pumping spells and Black Ice + Glass Cannon for increased damage. Not worried about Glass Cannons negative effect as im hoping not to get hit a whole lot with cold/frozen enemies.
Oh and if i encounter Cold Immune... well i guess i dont need to worry about that anymore thanks to skill swapping on the fly

We play on the NA servers so we have to wait until 5pm our time on the 15th... tell me that isnt going to be a hell of a day to get through!
