I think the issue with the Diablo 3 design and system is that there is no revenue stream for Blizzard to invest much resources into. Even though I am a bit disappointed that there is no new expansion, with the Necro 2017 class package which you can later buy in 2017 may be a paradigm shift in the Diablo franchise to align, and modernize, with Blizzard's other revenue generating systems/games. We should be anticipating small packages like this the future in getting more zones and more new class packages to purchase just like all other Blizzard games that generates continued revenue for the company. Not a terrible shift, but it will get more players back into the community if content can be delivered every few quarters.
This is why when I play pubs and see a high para barb, I leave immediately. The one huge complaint I have about the direction of D3 is this obscene emphasis on movement speed/speed skills/speed gear. Things are frantically out of control on t6 nowadays. Higher difficulty is sorely needed to slow down this obnoxious barbarian class.
This has always been the model of the diablo franchise.
Just wanted to give props and thanks to you MannerCookie for the awesome testing guides and information that you've done for season 3. It was very informative watching your twitch and youtube videos for the past few weeks.
I originally wanted to play a DH for s3 but after seeing the endgame viable playstyle it seems pretty damn boring, so think I'm going to go play a barb with all the recent changes to the class and the more engaging playstyle.
I agree that the set class item drops may need to be buffed a bit, but I believe that it's coming in 2.0.5 in the form of cache buff drops to include torment only legendaries. Within 120 paragon levels on my wizard, I saw only 1 set item drop (Compass Rose (useless)). Afterwards, I switched to my barb and got 5 piece Raekor set within a week...
Switched back to my Wizard, and crafted some set items to farm with. So far within the past week, I saw two drops. My VERY first tal rasha ammy and a blackthorne breeches.
Seeker vs. Piercing Orb is a matter of preference. I like the fact i can use seeker and hydra to shoot around corners safely. Also seeker lets you shoot indiscriminately off screen without having to aim really and it has a really good range... Awesome for when you just teleported out of a wall in or jail and you know them buggers are right on your tail off the edge of the screen
Your build may be useful for me in slowing down champion packs in inferno Act I

It's a rare drop, didn't drop for me until plvl 400+, but it's definitely not bugged.
