So, is anyone else worried that due to some totally random (or perhpaps, not random) chance, they will be inadvertently killed before Diablo III launches? Brain aneurism, sudden cardiac death, tripping down the stairs? You don't even need to leave your home for something like that to happen.
This is obviously me overthinking something to an extreme degree, but surely I'm not the only one hoping to live for at least a couple more weeks. Anyway, goodluck staying alive for another 6 days, everyone.
YES. I actually think about this almost daily since about two weeks ago. I drive paranoid now and when I feel a strange pain, I'm like, "No God not yet please, I have to play DIII first." I'm 25 and fit but hey it can happen to anyone at any time. Real life is involuntary hardcore mode.
As well, I wonder if any die-hard (pun intended) Diablo fans have died in the past few months or even weeks. I wonder if any will die hours before the servers go live. Could you imagine a guy downloading the client and getting to the 10-second countdown, only to suffer from an aneurysm as the server goes live? That would be a big bummer. But if he was a true fan he would attempt logging in as he suffers from the severe pain of the aneurysm. Then he would hack and slash in his final minutes, hitting the potion button as all goes dark -- to no avail.
Edit: hopefully people detect the exaggeration. I have thought about it once or twice, but generally speaking I'm not concerned. Also, as someone has previously mentioned, family and friends > DIII

I would say less than a week so I didn't vote. I'd say 72 hours. I will be one of the many who avoid this forum until I beat the game on normal. In fact, until I beat the game on normal, I will also avoid the gym, homework (until the day it's due), sleep, social activities, et cetera. Can't wait to start wrecking mobs with the barb!

I'm disappointed with the 100% unlock. But I'm sure most other die-hard Diablo fans will love it! It's just not my cup of tea. Anyway, I still give Blizz props for doing another unlock page for us. The interviews were certainly interesting. Now I can't wait to get the CE in my hands. I'm going to rip it open faster than you can say Ambesol™.

haha. he answered 3 questions and became overwhelmed.
Haha yeah.
And SIIIGHHH at the canned response for UI options. If that's the issue, give us an ini file with a complete list of options to turn anything in the UI off and so many people will be happy to go edit that file and turn off stupid annoying things. The "friendly UI" can remain untouched because those people don't care about the more advanced options anyway.
I couldn't agree more, Duck. Oh well, the game will still be epic. -shrug-

The following is merely a thought I had last night, and maybe it's a crazy one, but I'll share it anyway: What if Blizzard secretly ships the game out to all the retailers and blows the lid off the gaming world by announcing that the release date is "next week!" (or sooner). Would this be impossible without it leaking and/or would this be a poor business decision? I'm don't keep a close eye on big game releases over the years so I'm not sure if it's ever been done before. I imagine they could theoretically call the game good to go any time now and begin mass producing hard copies over the next few weeks. I think it'd be a nice treat for us fans who have endured years and years* of development. Perhaps Jay would keep us waiting on a release date for a few more weeks while the logistics are nailed down and the ball is rolling... then announce the date on, say, the 10th and he'd tell us the date is 'April 17th'. Thoughts?
