first hi @ all..
to finish this discussion, latin is a DEAD language, but some people indeed speak it!
BUT: I think if you say in country blablabla they speak latin, you mean that most people use latin when they speak to each other... And that is not "true"...
I'm sure you wouldn't say that in america they speak german, only because some tourists are there wouldn't you?!
Thank you for your attribution
However, its still not completely unspoken. True, I wouldn't say that USA speaks German, but thats the USA. We are talking about Europe, where people speak multiple languages because they are so close together. Europe speaks many languages, and Latin is one of them.
You cannot say "Noone speaks Latin". That statement is completely untrue, you have to agree with that.
Edit: The quote above me is a reference to the Twisted Path of Dreams and Shadows, from Kabraxis in The Black Road novel.
<Medievaldragon> it's been 13 days of mass-teasing ... no emails yet from the men in black at Blizzard ... coughs ... legal
<Serb> Someone i feel like there is something there but cant figure it out
<Medievaldragon> its not like they havent seen it. they visit blizzplanet almost daily. the ny comic con coverage was seen. I was congrats for it
<Medievaldragon> i mean, if they didnt want us to ... we would have gotten already a cease and desist letter -- which hasn't happened.
<battlemage03> that's cool
<Serb> So you cant tell us where you got your info from?
<Serb> but its not from blizzard?
<Medievaldragon> sighs
<battlemage03> dude...
<Medievaldragon> :::aims for the ethernet plug:::
<battlemage03> just wait or play something
<battlemage03> that way you'll get more info at once, you'll know where they got the info ect.
<Medievaldragon> Blizzard made the first approach. 'nuff said
You are wrong not even 1% of population in europe speaks latin.
English German French Italian maybe but never Latin.
Have you ever been to Italy?
You obviously don't realise that 1% of the population is a hell of a lot of people. There are well over 700 million people in Europe. 1% of 700 million is 7 000 000 people! "Less than 1% of population in Europe" is a useless statement.
I am not wrong, you are just being ignorant. This started with you telling me I was wrong, but clearly, thats not true.
i think i got him. it should be blackcanopus as he posted the first link and admits he posted it over there on the hackforums.
also, most of his posts are about the binary code. also, he is still online, and when you look at his signature, it becomes even more clear. blackcanopus
so blackcanopus, come out of hiding and stop fooling around with us
Are you not the genius? Off course I posted the message. Because no one on hackforums had the ball to decipher it. No one wanted to. Then, I registered here (at diablo3.com) and posted the message. Then someone deleted my message instantly and I posted it again and that guy quoted it so no one would delete it again. I even posted a topic in Gamers.com and they (EDIT: I think the moderators) deleted it right away. I have done this in gamespot and bazicenter.com as well. Any questions now?
Because Atrumentis I Live in europe and i know That it is Not TRUE
When you gonna realize that?? that real people just don't use latin.
Ofcourse some of them know latin but you Cant say that in europe people are using Latin
When you gonna realize that heh?
Because the Vatican city is in Europe. They use latin.
Cold hard facts versus personal experience? Facts win.
and the questions, since you are the infamous urticae, and you have posted all the quotes over at hackforums, which many members here find cool, i would ask if you just made them up, or read them somewhere
Dude he knows no more than you do lol... and those "mysterious quotes" are mostly not even written in proper English, so, yeah...
Sounds like Urticae made them up, especially considering that Twisted Path of Dreams and Shadow reference is easy to make.
Edit: The Vatican is a country, but it is called "Vatican City", because it acts more like a city - its the smallest country in the world, and it is completely surrounded by the city of Rome, in Italy.
Your statement makes NO sense, Kolofaza. If you admit that people in Europe speak Latin, then why are you saying that noone in Europe speaks latin? You're completely contradicting yourself, the meanings of your words are not standard.
If someone knows Latin, they speak Latin. The Pope uses Latin and teaches latin. Speaking latin out loud counts as speaking latin. How can it not?

 I am NOT urtica. I am a spectator in hackforums.net and [the rest is none of your business]. I saw the message. First I wanted to send an E-Mail to Diablo3.com but then I joined (before that I was a spectator here).
I live in Rome. No one in the Vatican use Latin as their primary language. It is the official language but it is not the primary language used. In Vatican City they speak Italian. Latin is only spoken at special occasions or to attract tourists.
I'm not talking about primary language, I'm talking about speaking it at all. You know, talking, uttering, using your vocal chords. even if it is for special occasions it still counts as someone speaking latin.
Firstly, you're quoting wikipedia. You may as well be quoting me because the source wouldn't become any more reliable.
Secondly, it doesn't even mention the Vatican or the Pope (both of which most certainly do speak latin). What a great source wikipedia is....
get on the next flight to rome and go talk to a catholic.

Better thing to do is figure out who's in the banner background
We know it's not Baal for sure. MD confirmed it's not him in IRC

I say it again: THINK before you post.
Personal experience is never a way to claim facts. Only research and proper study from apparently non-existant, "literate" people can claim facts...
If thats what you were trying to say, then say it, don't try and claim false facts as truth.
edit: Thank you TresPasser! I certainly hope so.

Why are you so ignorant? Why won't you believe that there are real people somewhere in Europe who speak Latin?
Thank god we're only 2 days away, 'eh? lol.
