My best guess is that we will have commands to spawn monsters and dungeons.
That way we won't see any act progression, boss, or spoilers.
Like the sc2 beta used to have cheat codes.
The point of beta is to test the act progression, bosses, dialogues(wrong texts), random encounters, item drops, if you don't want to get spoiled than stay away from beta, simple as that.
And pretty much every RTS i know have cheat codes for the single player, i know for a fact that all of blizzard games have then, i have no idea on how that relates to diablo3 having commands to spawn monsters.
Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.
The starcraft 2 beta had commands in multiplayer games to spawn units and such. They were removed after beta...
And Blizzard stated they won't spoil the game in the beta. BECAUSE people are dumb, and obviously even if you are not in the beta, you can get spoiled by pretty much any troll who is.
Never heard of those commands, i take it they only worked for custom. Anywho, SC2 is a whole different game, its an esport, and since development it was designed as such. So, when the beta was out, blizzard wanted people to test the multiplayer and the new battle.net features.
Thats not the case in D3, its a casual and pvm oriented game, if anything, i believe the beta will have a similar format to LoD beta, probably with a full act I so they can test if the adventure system is working properly.

Beta is for stability, bugs, and balance tests.
