Hey guys, been lurking these forums for a long time, never bothered to post. I am looking to get my monk up to snuff to start farming at some higher MPs. I can clear MP6 or 7 without much issue, just very slowly and carefully. I normally farm xp on MP1 to 3. Was looking to get my DPS up a good amount as well as maybe a little more survivability (for the higher MP levels).
As stated in the topic I have a budget of about 100 mil, this is my profile
I don't play monk anymore but I will point out what I see as more obvious points of improvement, maybe not on the survivability aspect but should certainly help with dps and with that, improve your lifesteal:
First, on a 100m budget, I would definitely upgrade the gems in both your weapons to the 100% crit damage in each, thats an easy 40% crit damage increase right there and shouldn't cost you too much.
Second, I would get trifecta gloves (and a trifecta ring, if you are willing to ditch the hellfire) which also shouldn't cost too much at this point, even with the same stats you have, including cold resist. (Hellfire is nice for the bonus xp but yours is unfortunately not very good. So I would say here, either ditch it when doing those high level MP's or try to farm a better one because that ring slot could do you a lot of good.)
Your amulet can definitely be better, I would say continue to craft those, along with gloves if you don't want to AH at the moment (also gives you something to continue to play for).
I would buy Lacuni's Prowlers with the full attack speed and also with crit chance, I'm not sure how much these are anymore but could be a nice little improvement even with (close to) as much resist all.
And finally, I would suggest trying a new weapon set up, i.e. having one weapon with >1k dps/3 lifesteal/socket and your other weapon with >1k dps/crit damage/socket instead of trying to get both stats on a weapon which gets ridiculously pricey over 900 dps. This will still be the bulk of your budget getting two new weapons but definitely an improvement from what you have. And don't shy away from yellow (rare) weapons instead of legendaries, can be just as good, just make sure they have 'black' damage instead of holy, poison, etc.
These improvements are in no particular order (except the gem upgrade coming first) so just play around and see what you can get away with with that hundo mil.
Thanks for the advice, did most of those things. Took another 75 mil to the budget to get decent weapons, just love the extra AS w/ the echoing fury, but took your suggestion of splitting the stats I need between the two. Saw an increase of about 40k dps, with a bit more survivability. Farming MP5 like its MP1 now.
