Today I want to give you guys my feedback - as well as showcase - the changes coming to Greater Rifts in 2.1.2. In this video I discuss density, map layouts, the 'revive at corpse' timer, consistent pylons and what's changed about them, and why Conduit will still be responsible for the top spots unless Rift Guardians have some sort of damage resistance to them. Enjoy!
Great video. but I think you're missing the point at the end on the conduit pylons. Yes the other pylons are bumped up to be more comparable, yes the conduit will still be a deciding factor in the boards BUT it looks to me like there will be more consistency in getting the conduits, soooo in truth it won't be a big deciding factor as everyone will have better shots at using them? The playing field will be leveled enough that other factors will play out instead.

Sort of. You are correct that everyone will have better access to conduits, but the problem still persists.
The 'problem' is that Raekors is SO good at clearing trash, way above any other spec, but suffers greatly on RG. It's an 'extreme' build - extremely good at one thing, extremely bad at another. Conduit solves the 'extremely bad' part, so you'll be seeing Raekors at the top of the leaderboards.
That said, I'm not asking for nerfs, I think it's a good build/set, but due to its extremity it'll end up surpassing all others, even more so now that density is more normalized. I may have to roll Raekor barb in season...
Ok, reakor barbs clear trash the fastest but keep in bind that they will probably leave most of yellows in solo or if they kill them with frenzy it takes much time, and if you nerf counduit on RG and take that away from reakor, then it will be nerfed from top tier to bottom probably because it takes too much time to kill RG and single yellow that leaves. Maybe yellows will not be problem any more because density is better so we can charge trash and kill yellow but still RG remains the big issue, not just that frenzy is too slow but also survivability is question because many guardians are impossible to kill with frenzy
So, any class can now use conduit to kill RG so lets just see how leaderboard will do
For me personally, from all endgame classes that I have (except crusader, I hate it) reakor is the most fun to play
^ Correct, it's an issue with Raekors - AOE is extremely good, single target extremely bad. If they brought down the AOE a bit and brought up the single target, it would be a lot more consistent.
The ceiling for the greater rift is not the Rift guardians, but the Elite packs , and Trash monsters. Cause I don't care how much HP GR Guardian has, that conduit pylon will always shit on it.
1. Find a Conduit shrine
2. Leave monster pack around the Conduit Shrine
3. Get Progress Meter to 99%
4. Go back to Conduit Shrine, kill the monsters around it to spawn the Rift Guardian

Correct, which is why I propose either conduit damage reduction on RG (50% should do it) or a complete disabling of all pylons once the RG is summoned (more normalized, but boring).
