I have been playing this game since its release and i have found that getting legendary items is hard enough let alone getting the stats you want for this specific item.
Since the release of 2.1, i have come back to seasons and played many hours, created all the characters available and tried so very hard to get specific weapons, gloves, head piece etc.
I have tried everything from normal mode bounties, every torment run and even rift + greater rift and to be able to get a specific item is almost impossible. Example Ceremonial Knives, Voodoo Masks, Wands, 2h Mighty Weapons (or 1h Mighty Weapon) but alas, disappointment follows me like a shadow. Now on 2.1.1, the changes to kadala seems all so great but in the end, increase in legendary drop doesnt mean increase in the legendary you want to drop. The cost is MUCH MUCH too expensive and the time i spend for farming these shards has become much less rewarding.
My suggestion is to Allow us to use our bloodshards on specific weapons and allow options of items such as the above. There are so many ways to play a character but without the specific item, its very hard to actually enjoy a build that i want to play/try to make. I also think that this will allow everyone else a fair chance to climb the ladders for seasons since to be able to climb ladders on greater rifts,you need to be geared.
Some may disagree because this will make it too easy for everyone else to climb, but i see that ladders is very much limited to those who have such luck to gear dropping for them.
I would like to hear what everyone has to say about this and also maybe even from devs to see if they could consider these options for kadala
Reducing the item pool form "all legendary items in slot" to "only legendary X items in slot" would absolutely trivialize attaining pretty much everything.
Nevermind that you wouldn't notice the change when you actually WANT something, because you're still looking at 1% chances on the good items with a 10% chance of being even legendary. For those of you who don't do math that's 0.1% chance to get the item you want, which won't feel significantly different from the current 0.02-0.1% simply because of observer bias.
Giving the option to roll specific gear from kadala doesnt make it any easier imo. Yes it focuses on specific items but it doesnt mean that you will definitely get it. Also, kadala may have gotten a buff, but this doesnt mean that you will get the gear that you want from her. It takes so much time to farm the blood shards yet to attain nothing from it because of the incredibly high prices.

Either it trivializes getting the gear, or it wont have an effect. You can't state both at the same time.
If a wand has a 1% chance to be a WOH(if legendary) and a kadala wepon has a 20% change to be a wand, it seems obvious that if you only get wands you would have a larger pool of wands which means that the 1% is still 1% but of a much larger pool, meanwhile staying at the same amount of currency spent.
You would end up having something like a 400% increase in chance of seeing that 1% item this way compared to the ingame way, which i would call fairly noticeable
It's called observer bias. It would trivialize attaining things but it would still feel like you ca't get stuff because going from a .4% chance to get the item you want to a 1.6% is pretty much negligible, yet it would still end up trivializing stuff.
People are weird and it can in fact be both trivializing and unnoticeable purely because the people who play a "small" amount of time won;t notice the change but players who play average or better will be running around with furnaces and WoW and wehat have you within 24 hours of release.
Agreed. Kadala has been buffed to an extreme as it is. She is doing WAY more than they ever intended her to do. The thrill of a top-tier find would be demolished with the OP's suggestion.

I totally agree with you, Kadala is now so much buffed that peaple rely on her to het the build the wanna play instead of going around Sactuary killing monsters. Killing monsters is the best way to find items and yes it takes time to gear up and polish your char. but what else do you expect! I am getting more and more the feeling that peaple want to have all items BIS with in 2 hours after creating a Char.
Get a grip and play the game, and when you are just not lucky with one class go play another. Remember Kadala was not meant to be the MAIN source of items/loot. Its an extra to have some extra luck in finding te things you need. And all i see are post i cant have this, i cant have that, etc etc And it starting to piss me off!
Except that now you cannot do anything without a set, i mean try to play mage or DH without firebird or marauder

I just started my season Friday evening. I play Monk. Not a single Sunwuko piece yet. A Monk without Sunwuko is pretty limited, but what I can do is play the damn game. Found a rather nice Flying Dragon already and an RoRg, but that's about it. Still, I can do Grifts up to 20, farm Torment 4 bounties/rifts and continue to plink away until I do get my Sunwuko parts, but I'm the last motherfucker you'll hear crying about not being able to select Sunwuko parts off the Kadala store shelf.
Play the game, the items will come, eventually. As it should be.
