I don't know if the idea came up before, i don't check every threads, but how about a place on bnet chat where you can just post what you are offering or what you are looking for in categories or sections, then you receive a mail or private message from the person interested and you can meet in a game right away, or even better, acces your stuff from the chat in bnet and do the exchange live right there.
I think it would be better then to copy/paste and spam in the chat room what you are offering or looking for then having to search for the guy and type his name whisper him meet in the game and all the trouble we all have experienced from trading in D2.
ya just use auction house i don't care if people complain about it copying WoW its just a really good system and maybe thats how gold will come in handy since durability isn't in Diablo 3 so you don't have to worry about repairing
Something like that would be a nice addition. It seems like Blizzard is working on in-game ways to more easily trade. I think I would prefer it to be in the game actually, with a better interface.
Still it could happen in battle.net chat and if it does I'm sure it will be better than the previous version. I guess we'll have to see what's released with the new version this year.
Nah, I expect something more ergonomic, friendly usable and less freedom. Something more concrete than a ambiguous email !!! Something where you have a list you can sort the list by price, kind of item, level... etc (all possibilities) and then you press on the button and the trade was done if you have the money for. Something where you can choose which item you want trade you put a price and a date and you let that do by itself, you'll receive a message on your next log if your item was sold.
also sending items to players kinda like a mailbox was used for in WoW but not making it a mailbox like maybe theres a npc in each major town like called a messenger or something that you send messages to people and you have to go to a messenger in a major town to receive your mail
and it just should be auction house but it should be designed for diablo
No soulbound stuff, but bind on equip may be a possibility. I think the question here is whether the trading system interface will be part of battle.net or an in-game system. I vote for in-game, maybe a "marketplace". Either way it will probably use some kind of battle.net system underneath to find buyers/sellers, right?
So... an auction house but without prices and you have to still meet up with the other player.
Just use an auction house.
Yeah i guess you can call it an auction house, but in the bnet interface. But you wouldn't put an item for gold like in WoW. You would need to contact the guy and tell him what you would be willing to trade for his stuff.

I thought trading items was going to be the main way to get stuff and not the gold.
well it should be for gold that will make gold use full and it should just send it to you by like a messenger when you buy it that is like a mailbox But make everything designed like Diablo
and still no bind on equip diablo has never done that and thats just like wow and that to me would still be retarded i would like to use a really good item then find something better after a while then sell it and make good money off that item
and still no bind on equip diablo has never done that and thats just like wow
I thought there was bind on equip now. I read a post by somebody saying that I think. "The bind on equip approach is something they have already confirmed to be in place." -Don Guillotine.
The thing is that the BoE thing makes items harder to get because they can't be traded only sold to vendors. So say 5 people got "bone cracker" and out level it and put it on the "AH" (or whatever they're doing, trade channels or whatever) well those 5 are than bought, than 5 more get found, and than the 5 that were bought just get put back up. Eventually it will be over ran with uniques and they'd lose value.
So if the BoE is in D3 I won't really have a problem but if it isn't than I don't really care either way. I'm sure they have some method to dealing with whatever problem will occur.
o ok that makes since but no soulbounds and just BoE that would actually be a good idea and then after your done using that BoE just sell it to a vendor
I think it would be better then to copy/paste and spam in the chat room what you are offering or looking for then having to search for the guy and type his name whisper him meet in the game and all the trouble we all have experienced from trading in D2.
Just use an auction house.

And im also sure that they are working on a great trading system, similar to the WoW auction house perhaps... and perhaps not.
BOP ??? bind on pick ??? No !! I heard it's only BoE !
Trading system will be great probably better than WoW !!
Do you think high rune will be bind on equip (you can't remove it from your skill) ?
I do not see why soj is godly. I think many other rings are better. I can see the reason for UDiablo and the +all skill. But that is all I see in it.
