I've heard from several people that they will be using the same character classes as in D2. I hope this is true but i also hope that they will read this and add in some other classes or more character development.
One class i would like to see is the warrior from the first game cause the pally and barbs are pretty good but nothing beets the original.
Second, I'd like to see a certain level of character development like choosing a gender for your character and maybe even being able to set ur stats b4 u start playing.
The final development i would like to see is Multiclassing. Say every 40 levels (out of a total of 160) you can choose to make your character learn the skills of 1 other class. This would completely change the style and create awsome new combinations for D3 character development.
If you would like to see developments on D3 just talk to me on MSN or post something up if ur not lazy.
My D2 game was deleted from my PC so i cant play unfortuanatly

Don't play D2 anymore i'm just waiting eagerly for D3. I play Medievia now its a free text only game.
For the time while ur waitng for D3 i advise you guys to play it. www.medievia.com
Also i found the books in D1 really cool and they sohuld add those in again but certain books may be too complicated for the brutish barbarian or too evil for the evngelical pally so it restricts characters... (you know, those books that add to a certain skill)
Also the multiclassing thins, if u consider it they will have 4 classes all in one BUT since they cant be all (hopefully 12) classes you will have awsomely unique characters like the Warnecrosinpally and stuff.

I still haven't found any other websites about multiclassing ind D3...
LOL. Wouldn't it be cool if you could have the ragind drunk as a character class though?

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
your ideas are nice but there are a few flaws in them, first as everyone knows in d2 for your character to be competitive you have to expertly uses synergies and you have to max out your main skill and all the skills that have synergies tied to that skill and you might ave to max out a few other skills for defensive purposes or something else it is not possible to do this if you multiclass 4 times before you peak (lvl 160) maybe if you only class twice but the a different story
that is true, but nore in 1.09 when thier was no synergies.. that let more room to expand your character, ie. ur sorc... u didnt need to max fire bolt if ur a fire ball sorc

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
lets just forget multiclassing al together aye, thats a DND thing, multiclassing is only good when you are a halfelf (ranger/cleric) or if you are a kensai/mage or thief
diablo is true classes and thats the way it should be.
-somewhere between 7-20 or so chars
more warrior and mage types, there are lots of warrior classes yet to be explored and some are quite fun to play;
samurai(kensai)
ninja(male assassin)
hellion
ranger
anti paladin
-some more warrior classes or warriors with a few magic spells, 2 isnt really enough(barbar/zon)
-there is really only 1 healer(paly) and yes people like to going healers, so more healer classes;
monks(zealots)
clerics
warrior priests (think knight's templar with spells)
-a new type of mage would be nice either a;
Abjurer specializes in protection magic (kinda like auras)
Conjurer specializes in creating creates and objects to help him
Diviner specializes in detection and divining magic (find/disable trap, far sight and identify)
Enchanter specializes in manipulating the minds of sentient beings
geomancer specializes in earth based magic
hydromancer specializes in water based magic
Illiusionist specializes in creating illusions to confuse and mislead
Invoker specializes in invocation/evocation magic (ligthning/magic type spells)
pyromancer specializes in fire based magic
necromancer specializes in magic dealing with death[but we already have 1]
Transmuter specializes in magic that alters physical reality
warlock (not like the wow one) A supernatural character whose sinister powers are inborn abilities, not spells.
i do realize that that list sounds like a DND rip off, but the point still stands that some of those classes are very powerful and fun to play, and most fit pretty well with diablo

something like that
actually according to the rules on DND if a paladin/ranger becomes fallen they are now antipaladin (fallen paladin) or a fallen ranger
