Hi, wasn't really sure about this. Maybe I read it and just glossed over it. With new paragon levels coming, we're allowed to turn those levels into points and allocate them across all our characters. Do we continue to get gold/magic find as a freebie or must those too be allocated? Just wondering how the no cap on paragon is going to work since from screencaps there seem to be caps on the categories we can pour paragon points into. Just looking to clear it up for myself. Thanks!
It's one of the unanswered questions I'm looking forward to hear more about at Blizzcon ;-)
MF/GF was not included in any of the paragon tabs to spend points on. So they must have something different in mind. My HOPE (though not belief) is that they completely remove MF/GF, since it results in ~6 times more loot for high-level players and creates too much of a gap (in addition to the existing DPS gap, thus resulting in ~20 times more loot).
It does make sense that they may indeed remove gf/mf with the new (improved) drop rates. But if there is no cap and you max out the categories you can put points into (no idea how difficult that would be) what is the point of having no cap then? Just idle curiosity while at work.
Hi,
As far as I've understood from the data mining and so forth the no cap is there for "two" reasons,
1. This is probably the biggest reason, Ladder system, what Many people already concluded is that there will be a ladder system and then the point of not having a cap is to easier follow your standing in the ladder season.
2. I don't know if anyone agree with me on this one but I personally got bored of grinding before the paragon system arrived because of the lack of seen progress, even though the later levels of paragon won't change anything or benefit your character I still find it more interesting to follow my own progression.
Hopefully this answers somewhat helps you.
