I will be moving to Israel in April and was wondering if anyone could help shed some light for me and clear up my ignorance. I was wondering if I will have a problem buying it from the Blizzard store digitally and if I will have any problems joining my usual US East server to play with my friends back in the states. There is no interenet censorship or anything in Israel and just wondering how it works for overseas users. Is there usually bad lag, etc. when you join a US server?
Trying to play on any of the US servers will result in large lag. If you want generally less laggy play, you'll probably have to differ over to EU servers. If you go to just the Blizz stores to buy, by default they may have you purchase an EU version of the game for just that reason. You may have to find some sort of work around for getting a US copy. All of this information is extrapolated from friends who had to move to EU and tried to continue playing on US servers, members of the military who attempted to even get vent access while in Iraq and a friend who bought a korean copy of SC2.
I'm unfamiliar with anyone who has attempted to log into any of the Blizzard servers from Israel and the quality of their connection by doing such.
