We may see a few less wells and things since there will be the health orbs lying around. But shrines, absolutely. They need to actually have a repair shrine this time like they said they would in D2.
I'd also like to see other shrine effects like maybe temporary invisibility, mass confusion, or maybe some kind of vertigo shrine where everything looks fucked up for awhile. Sure that may sound annoying, but it can just be really rare of a shrine.
wells will stay, already mentioned by Jay Wilson in one of the interviews where they where talking about how boss fights will go and how players will heal during the fights. He mentioned that some bosses will have a couple wells near them that you can use to heal up with.

They might have thought also when making D2 that the shrines would provide many tactical opportunities. But most of them were quite pointless. Exp shrines are always good though.
like 60% of the shrines in d2 were completely useless; 'exploding, stamina, fire,etc' i hope they make them more useful and more scarce, so when people do come across them they are more excited.
