So far this year i haven't been able to play Diablo 3. However, i will be finally able to play at the start of season 4. My biggest concern is that i am out of the loop on which classes will have fun builds along with being strong.
Back in the day i originally played perma-freeze Wiz, then moved to WW Barb, then moved on to Firebats WD and then finally Pony and Condemn Crusaders. At each point in time i really enjoyed all of those builds, so i'm not sure what style of play i will enjoy in season 4.
Points of interest:
- I enjoy gathering mobs and being able to destroy them all at once... WW Barb, Firebats WD and Condemn Crusader.
- I am not looking to try and rank specifically, although with my Condemn Crusader i did get into the top few hundred.
- I am open to all classes but do have reservations on DH and Monk.
Any information on which class and builds you think i would enjoy would be appreciated. Thanks.
Condemn/Pony Crusader isn't really a thing anymore, the Akkhan's set just isn't competitive at all. Blessed Hammers are fun, though.
I'd probably check out WW Barb or the new Helltooth WD with Acid Cloud. Archon Wizard kinda works the way you describe with stacking Chantodo's > Archon form damage but you need to keep TPing around to stay alive which can be a bit involved if you're just looking to blow mobs up.
Short of downloading the PTR and giving a few different builds a shot, you could watch some 2.3 videos on Youtube to see what you like the look of.
Thanks. I just checked out the new whirlwind on YouTube and the 6 piece set bonus seems super awesome. It's really made my decision easy, so thank you very much!!
You should go Barb I think. The class has more diversity in build this patch than any other. There is WW build (6wastes BK, 6waste 4ik) Rend build, Ik/Raekor/Hota, and IK/seismis slam, and they all seems to be decent. And who knows what will come up during the season.
Uliana Monk is also really fun and has that Ooomph you search with huge damage spike on big pack.

How do you like this playstyle with the monk?
